She's a good skateboarder in the show. She is kind of cool having her squad of skateboarders living in the city. The Casagrandes does deal with "daddy issues" and divorce. Maria is overworked as a nurse because she doesn't have a husband supporting her. There really weren't enough memorable episodes of Casagrandes though. There was too much "look how Mexican I am."
