Joker, Penguin, and Two-Face have had pretty consistent looks over the years, yet Eddie has been far more flexible for interpretation. Should he wear a green suit or a jumpsuit? Purple mask or merely glasses? Bowler hat or no? Lots of question marks or simply one? Also should his name be Edward Nashton or Edward Nigma? What should be his definitive origin that leads him to become The Riddler?

The importance is color - Riddler, Joker, and Two-Face are fine because they have unique suit colors. Riddler's green, Joker's purple, and Two-Face (usually) has it split white and black. The others usually have standard colors, but have some defining traits to make them stand out (Penguin's body/nose/monocle, Black Mask's.....well, mask, Ventriloquist's glasses). Also, I'd argue Hugo Strange is associated with a lab coat more than a suit.
