Ice bucket?>>150418741>In all seriousness, what would it take for any of these shows to die?The audience to die I think... I genuinely can't tell if it's that the channels exist to employ the writers or the shows exist to make the execs feel comfortable about selling branded merch people were going to buy anyway because it reminds them of the actual original stuffMaybe people really are that dumb they like watching this slop

>>150419204Is it me or does this just look like gibberish?Do human beings make these things?Do human beings watch these things?
>>150414558Does the KotH reboot count as season 14?
>>150419663It's not some 'sequel series' with a new name or anything. All news outlets refer to it as Season 14, but I think King of the Hill gets a pass because it actually uses its revival to shake things up and tell new stories it never could during its original 13-year run. That's far more admirable than Hulurama existing just because.
>>150414558No series should go past Season 10. Not a single one.

Does Fox even make money from continually renewing the Simpsons and Family Guy?
>>150414558Idk why but milking Futurama feels more heinous than all of those.Maybe it was just a better mix of something made for its time and timeless.
>>150422418Well, in that case...
>>150418835Yeah it's admirable until you realize that wasn't a deliberate choice on the Futurama crew's part. The show has spent about as much time cancelled than it has on the air.

>>150418805Do you think these shows can subsist entirely off the diehard toonautist audience for the next 10-15 years? Genuinely I cant imagine anyone else watch by then. People barely watch now. Year over year Simpsons loses viewers. Atleast in the cases of South Park, Family Guy, and American Dad different demographics prop up the ratings. Fujos and Gen X'er are the loadbearers of SP, Family Guy remains eternally relevant through clips and memes ala Spongebob, and American Dad has undergone a strange postironic reinvention, but there is nothing left to say with the Simpsons short of maybe a sequel to the nearly 20 year old movie. Even that doesnt feel like a guaranteed hit unless it relied heavily on Bartmania nostalgia or something. Just let Simpsons die.
>>150419204 This looks like a fake show you'd see or hear advertised in a GTA game or something
>>150431053Episode count varies a lot more. The Simpsons and South Park were still really good after over 100 episodes, but Rick and Morty got bad at least by episode 31.
>>150422418/this>>150423860If the Family Guy movie ever happens I'd want it to be a massively dated riff off old Chevy Chase comedies and family road trip movies. It should age like milk the moment the trailer drops.
>>150433369It's been argued countless times on /co/ in the past but the general consensus seems to be Simpsons is propped up by Latin American and European markets. Even so it's unimaginable isnt it? Surely even the most out of touch 40-something viewer in bumfuck Mexico cant be getting anything from the new episodes. At a certain point I wonder if there's a deal in place, not unlike the ones various nes networks have made with gyms and airports over the years, to just have fleets of televisions in public spaces playing these channels to an audience of no one 24/7.

>>150439051I've been slowly catching up these last couple days. The one with Linda's new shoes was kinda stupid, but I really liked the casino, tortoise, and cheese-throwing episodes. Bob's Burgers is at its best when it's doing a mystery/thriller story. Same reason the movie worked for me
>>150439146It can still be funny at times, too. My only real issue with the show is how much of a doormat Bob has become. Idk if H. Jon Benjamin just doesn't care anymore or if he's being directed to give such a passive performance, but it irks me either way.
