It's a series that is perfectly suited to Ellis's strength as a writer; every issue there is a single, strong sci-fi idea. The characters are pretty secondary, it's essentially a series of one shots with a dope or weird idea. I feel like we need more shit like this. On the other hand, Ellis has some advanced form of ADD that makes him ruin anything he writes for too long, so it's probably good we only got the twelve issues.
