Other than that, Emperor's New Groove is probably the superior product in every single way.Speaking of Eartha Kitt she's an absolute knockout as Yzma, it sounds like she's having a ton of fun voicing her. Emperor's New Groove was the funniest thing Disney's ever made, and the moral and themes were still preserved. Win-win. Maybe it would have been more prestigious, but there's just no way Kingdom of the Sun was going to out-Hercules Hercules by striking a balance between flashy, funny and dramatic, or out-Hunchback Hunchback by going all in on the themes and drama, so doing something totally fresh in terms of tone and scope was probably the right choice.
