>>150429049>season 10There's literally no point in trying to meaningfully criticize this era. I don't know if it's fully "Zombie Simpsons" yet, at this point, but it's certainly an era of malaise. Homer had started trending toward being a jerkass since season 4 or 5, and the writing staff themselves openly lampooned it in season 8. They basically acknowledged they'd taken the show as far as they could while keeping the characters mostly grounded so now they needed to escalate things to keep people interested.
