I mean I get the logic of putting the spotlight in Helen but everything regarding the villain and her plot is utterly baffling. Honestly the villain being a crazy evil AI would also make sense following from the first films climax. Hell if you needed a twist just reveal that it was made from the surviving part of the Omnidroid and has evolved into essentially a pastiche of Ultron like how the Incredibles are based on the Fantastic Four.

I still think the sequel should’ve skipped ahead a couple of years with the kids being older and figuring out their place in superhero society and Bob and Helen coming to terms with aging and retiring for real

You could even reverse Dash and Violet’s characterization. Maybe as he’s gotten older Dash wants to prioritize his regular life over his hero life and Violet starts embracing being a super. And Jack Jack could… do something I guess
