A lot suffer modern slop conventions along with to many cooks in the kitchen with half-baked plot contrivancea being an issue and solved without complication to move the movie along. I felt like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice should had been a Netflix show like with Wednesday. Casting and story issues aside. The relationship between Depp's Barnabas and Green's Bouchard even mirrors the Beetlejuice/Delores one. You get all this build up at the start of the film, you watch Bouchard seethe from the sides as she devises new schemes to corner Barnabas and his family with, and just as the rising action is coming into play they shut the lights and call the curtain. I really do wonder why that is, how do you make the same mistake twice?Anyways I couldnt agree more, MeTV Toons is a blessing. It's one of the few good things left in life. I just wish digital antennas werent such finnicky pieces of shit.
