What other web comics have been going as long as XKCD?

It's kinda shocking to see him admit this, but I imagine he just doesn't realize the implications.
>>
>>150441175
Huh?
>>
>>150441175
The problem with thinking everything's a hidden conspiracy is that you don't understand how much is plainly talked about out in the open, because you spend all your time listening to podcasts with titles like "5 THINGS THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW."

All of science knows about the Replication Crisis, and it's a big fucking deal. Pretty sure a cartoonist making a morbid joke about how it's still happening knows exactly what the implications are, more so than you do.
>>
>>150442201
so you're saying we can't trust the science?

You can't always trust scientific results, research papers and experiments aren't all made equal, but you can trust results that have been replicated consistently and science remains the best method for understanding the universe.

The replication crisis existing doesn't mean that your gut feelings are a better way of deciding the truth than the scientific method.
>>
>>150442232
>Replication crisis is research that can't be confirmed by running it again and getting the same results
>Vaccines not released until initial research confirmed by running it again and getting... the... same... results...
Someone here clearly doesn't realize the implications, but it's not Randall.

Does Randall have a wife and kids?

It's Walky, Shortpacked!, and Dumbing of Age are three different comics even if Shortpacked! is a sequel to It's Walky. The Walkyverse, Roomies, It's Walky, Shortpacked!, and Joyce & Walky, ended in 2015, while Dumbing of Age has been running since 2010.

And there's this long one
>>
>>150445402
AI slop comic idea:
"Condensing the longer comic's core messages into a 6-panel format is challenging but possible. The key is to distill its main arguments, which focus on the social, rather than purely legal, aspects of free speech.

Here is a possible way to re-imagine the 6-panel comic:

Panel 1:
Stick figure, speaking to the reader: "PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: The right to free speech isn't just a legal protection from government censorship."

Panel 2:
Close-up on the stick figure's face. Text: "It's a cultural value that depends on an open public sphere, not just the absence of legal punishment."

Panel 3:
The stick figure points to a phone screen or tablet. Text: "The 1st Amendment doesn't shield you from consequences, but private companies now have the power to limit public discourse."

Panel 4:
The stick figure looks at the ground, with a new thought bubble. Text: "If we only allow the majority's opinion, we risk the 'tyranny of prevailing opinion' that stifles new ideas."

Panel 5:
The stick figure, gesturing to an empty space. Text: "Silencing a person's speech doesn't get rid of their ideas. It just makes them fester in echo chambers."

Panel 6:
The stick figure gestures toward a door, which is now open to a wider world. Text: "Engaging with opposing views is the only way to find out if we're wrong."

Replication crisis means they cant properly replicate results under same conditions
Covid shot, because it legally and medically is not a vaccine, could not get replicated results and tests were admitted to being sabotaged where there were zero double blind studies ever conducted because researchers felt the risks were too great.
But yeah, the science was settled
6 foot rule was made up out of their ass
Face mask conpanies printed on the box their masks didnt stop transmissions
All cases of cold deaths stopped the first year of covid literally zero people died from the cold despite thousands dying every year. Guess we cured that disease by accident
You have to lockdown
Unless you protest nigger death than massive gatherings were fine
Admitting that even after getting the shot you could still get it or transmit it

Have fun with your miocarditis guinea pig

This is world salad.
Nothing in this is true in any way.

You've had your brain poisoned by people trying to make complicated things simple for you by saying everything you can't understand is a lie.

You don't even know what a vaccine is. You're a disgusting racist fuck repeating trash from people who are robbing you blind.

There were millions of excess deaths from COVID compared to normal years. I was an EMT at that time, and I watched two separate complete dipshits just like you die of it saying it was fake and having pissy little tantrums the whole time. I saw other people get scared straight, but mostly I watched selfish, ignorant dipshits who decided that millions of people decided to coordinate on a massive hoax just to inconvenience them.

Yes plenty. Kevin and Kell, Something Positive, Penny Arcade, Wapsi Square, El Goonish Shive, Sinfest, Questionable Content, Cyanide and Happiness, and Gunnershit Fail have all been going on as long or longer and that's off the top of my head.

Then you have the Walkyverse which isn't one comic per se but uses all the same characters and has been going on in one form for another (including Dumbing of Age) since 1997.
>>
>>150442976
I think it's fair to count them as it's all essentially one series, even the reboot.
>>
>>150445689
Everything i said is true and the shit they peddled you

I dont know what a vaccine is? Buddy Im not the one that changed the definition of vaccine multiple times over the course of the scamdemic.

And i sure as shit wasnt the one listing people whp died with covid as died from covid.

You could audit every hospital in the country and none of them would be able to confirm how many autopsies confirmed that diagnosis but they sure as shit accepted the money for every covid death they had.

You were an emt.

So the equivlant of a hospital delivery driver. Not even a paramedic. The grocery store cart pusher in the chain of medical careers. What use are you on a bus when you cant even push half the drugs in the suitcases full of supplies you bring. You probably cant even read an ekg.

>minorities need free access to news networks and social media than you, the disgusting majority
>free speech = you must work for other people
>if only the loudest are heard, it'll just be a bunch of leftist talking points
By their nature, those with access to social media and especially news networks a minority of the population
If you started measuring access, and ownership, by ethnicity, religion and economic background, hoo boy, xkcd would become a racist overnight.

i think i once made comments similar to yours

i think you are also genuinely trying to do your best. keep your mind open. there is some serious evil afoot and its not from me or the guy telling you some of these things

no one is peddling me shit or robbing me blind. im not part of any modern 'system' other than the ones im currently held hostage under (and i am finding my own ways out). i dont vote, I dont support anyone, there's no opinions I hold other than my own, I trust no one and expect to have to work very hard to secure an existence for myself that isn't under the boot of this modern evil zionist world we're in.

i sincerely hope you are able to see through their lies someday.

>you're /pol/
The comic literally states
>sexism, homophobia, internment camps, mccarthyism, trail of tears, racism

>a minority opinion is one which not many people hold
Great. Let's touch on this autistic point for a second.
Do you share an opinion with someone from one state over? The man who owns the mom & pops near you? The wagie at Walmart? Your landlords? Your neighbor? No. No you don't. You have a minority opinion.
>but what about socioeconomics...
Oh okay then. Do you think the people who own news networks all have the same socioeconomic background? Hmm, weird, they do.
What about the people who are news anchors or journalists? Huh, that's strange, they all sorta fit together. Wouldn't see any of them wageing at Walmart, being homeless, owning a farm, or even sitting back and relaxing as a proud owner of an oil well.
Isn't that odd? That they're a Minority Opinion? Weird. And you're defending this? Weeeird.

>smartphones
Used by The Audience, not the one speaking. If you believe in minority opinions, you will have to agree that smartphones undermine and concrete over minority opinions because they give media networks round the clock access to more people than before.
Huh. Weird that you'd defend that.

Wait a second, I was baited.
I never even said minority = race, I just said that xkcd is obviously calling the viewer a majority and bad (i.e. good to remove, deprivilege, etc).
And anon read into that as race.

>>150446178
>Do you share an opinion with someone from one state over? The man who owns the mom & pops near you? The wagie at Walmart? Your landlords? Your neighbor? No. No you don't. You have a minority opinion.
Yes, and accordingly I strive to have my opinion heard regardless.
Weeeird.
Anon, that the news networks are the majority opinion is what's being railed against. Are you incapable of basic comprehension? The angle is that minority opinions require access to broadcast their opinions and perspectives for "freedom of press" to hold any value as a concept.
>>smartphones
>Used by The Audience, not the one speaking.
We are speaking at this very moment.

Yes, politics will ask: "How many will die?" and if science quotes them a number that seems good enough, then that will become policy.

>my opinion is the same as everyone from every geography and economic strata
You must be happy voting for the winner of an election every time, to drive the same car as everyone else, for the news to always agree with you and to never learn anything new, for you already know everything and have an opinion on it.

>freedom is free if minorities can't get onto news networks
>only majorities are on news networks
I just explained to you that it is impossible to have majority opinions on the news by describing to you what divides people.

>We are speaking here
On a Mongolian throat weaving forum to each other. You are not broadcasting on Fox or CNN to half the English speaking planet. You have no control over media. Your "majority" opinion is worthless.

>>150446200
>By their nature, xkcd is wrong because only 0.0001% of the pop own and can control the media as it exists
>Also, in a segue, if xkcd noticed the exclusivity of this ownership and control, he'd become a Natzee because it's not equal, it's not equitable and it's not free, it goes against every last one of his values and he'd only see one solution with his very literal mind and its utopian ideals, similar to how most lefties today are dealing with learning about Palestine
Wow. Reading comprehension!
Perhaps if you weren't blind and skullfucked by your own political biases, you would stop, read and make an informed decision.
