How are you guys liking the new Bojack-adjacent show?
>>150441485>somehow has an even uglier art style than the Normal words but Horse guy show>doesn't even have hot furry ladies to make up for itNo sir, I don't like it.
>>150441485I like it!
>>150441485How Jewish is it?
>>150442159Oh very, like I actually learn a lot about the Jewish fate because of it
>>150441485I enjoyed it. I think a lot of people who grew up in a somewhat normal nuclear family can relate to it, at least I did.
>>150442253Lame. Jewish stuff is in fucking everything and always boring as hell awhile being completely unrelatable
>>150441485Can't make it past the first 5 mins because I hate jews
>>150442394I found it interesting as the mom uses the fate to try to keep the family together but but all have problems with her and end rejecting it, with one rejecting the fate, one staying religious but gay and the third one becoming super orthodox, rejecting her mom in another way.
>>150441485The mom radicalized me from how naggy she was, but she's still charming for how relatable she is to the average annoying mothers.
>>150441485I wouldn't exactly call it Bojackadjacent, Long Story Short is very standalone. But I liked it a lot. They covered a lot of ground this first season while still leaving a fair amount of gaps to keep you invested
>>150441485I like it more conceptually than Bojack because the comedy actually fits the drama. In Bojack the comedy always felt like it was dangling keys in front of the retards who were bored by the drama. Like the Todd B plots got increasingly ridiculous and detached from the main plot with every season. Also the dialogue isn't constant obscure cultural references.Albeit this is the main reason why this show will probably be a lot less successful than Bojack.
>>150442253>>150442512>fate
>>150443481What makes it superior is also what keeps it obscure. Shame how often this is the case
>>150441620I wouldnt say the art style is ugly
>>150442139Did she actually do anything wrong for her daughter to vehemently hate her?She gave up on her dreams and all she got out of it was a bitchy mother-in-law and a daughter who doesn't want to talk to her
>>150441485Loved it, I like the quirky art and dumb jokes. Best episode is the bed in a bed one. Also I want to titty fuck the mom and glaze her fat khazar milkers
>>150445417She’s a daddy’s girl and someone has to get the blame in the divorce
>>150445417I don't feel like Jen is coping well with how teenage Hannah now sees Avi as the "cool parent". It was easy when Hannah was younger, Jen understood what a little girl wants, but the teenage outsider nerd Hannah is alien to Jen's tastes and interests. And so she just hands over the problems to Avi whilst still trying to act the "cool parent" role, and not understanding why Hannah gravitates more to Avi.Naomi's death was also probably a wedge. It was for sure a wedge that broke the marriage, but whilst Naomi was always antagonistic towards Jen, she showered Hannah in love and gifts. They had completely different experiences, and Hannah probably doesn't appreciate how Jen refuses to spend time with the other side of the family that Hannah adores. If there is one "bad mom" thing Jen has done though, it's flying off on a secret vacation with some new boy toy behind Hannah's back and begging Avi to cover for her so she doesn't find out. If she's keeping big secrets from Hannah, she can't be mad when Hannah doesn't want to open up to her like she does Avi.
Absolute kino, more heartwarming than BojackIn S2 i'd like to see more characterization for Kendra (Her ep felt like the weakest desu) and Elliot and of course a Jen episode
>>150446137The Kendra episode basically was just there to show she can be just as terrible as everyone else in the family she married in to.
>>150441485no horse guy, no watch
