Is Broadcast Standards & Practices holding television cartoons back in competition to what's allowed online?Given how popular Digital Circus is with kids, is there anything in that show that they wouldn't allow on tv?
As shitty as the practice seems, they're there to allow the advertisers(the people who make the shows the money they need to have decent budgets) peace of mind that they can buy adspace on a show without worrying about parents complaining or having negative publicity attached to a show they're funding with their add money. If it sounds archaic, it's because it ism but it's also because there hasn't been a system made to replace it that actually brings in big enough money.
