Does this show have a future?
The writer needs to give a damn good reason on why she doesnt want the job of magical girl anymore and im serious. "burn out" is cop out bullshit. They need to make a story about how there is too much paperwork involved like this was made her realize this job sucks plus she has to treat it like its mandatory volunteer work. Like make the whole bit she was the chosen one and no one else is allowed the power she has.This is why she takes the "creative and fast" approach to problems because like a person working unpaid overtime no one wants to be doing this shit.

>>150445530Yeah, there's plenty of ways to subvert the magical girl genre without just being meta about it. Burn out is not that interesting. Bureaucracy would definitely be a more interesting angle, since we're not at the "end" of the character's growth. There are plenty of examples of dream jobs that turn out less than stellar or not as it's cracked up to be that can be the inspiration for Aika to dislike it, but still does it as it's her job.

Wouldn't the (I think it's optional in this cartoon?) ornate outfit in combat be frustratingly cumbersome? There's only so much time in the world, it's not unreasonable to be frustrated that you're drafted into setting aside your own to play a silly game or let destruction pass.
