Which other Big Two characters would benefit greatly from being split off and placed in their own universe away from all the superheroes?
>>150450617Constantine
>>150450644That already happened and it ran its course.
>>150450617All of them. Like all of them.
>>150450617X-Men in general doesn't work as a concept in the shared Marvel world.
>>150450713Literal tranny opinion
>>150450713I'd say it's almost the opposite. Editorial mandate has forced the x-men to be further and further out of the main continuity, and that's fucking stupid, they belong in the 616.
>>150450713Agree with this.>>150450715>>150450733That X-Men are rejected while other super-powered characters are accept is retarded.
>>150450757Racism itself is retarded, your point?
>>150450757Most other heroes are barely tolerated, being a liked hero is stupidly fickle. But the unfair oppression allegory only works if the X-men are unfairly singled out more than other heroes. Humanity needs to say "fuck you in particular" for the actions against mutants to be unreasonable. If it's just mutants then mankind is handling a situation they've just been thrown into with a sympathetic amount of caution.
>>150450757Actually read comics. The reasoning of anti mutant hate is "this is massive security risk/these mutants are going to replace us/rule over us." It makes perfect fucking sense.
>>150450825Racism makes more sense.>>150450840The problem is it's too arbitrary. If mutants all looked demonic, or if they got extra bizarre powers while heroes did not, that would make more sense. >>150450864No, it doesn't. The exact same thing can be said about the many Avengers. They tried to make this point in Busiek's Marvels, and it ruined Marvels.
>>150451000Yeah I kinda agree the mutie sense thing is dumb
>>150450617Doctor Strange.
>>150450617These kinds of threads are dumb because in general you can have a character self contained to their "world" while being part of a shared universeI say we just create a universe consisting of characters people keep insisting should be split offBatmanPunisherConstantineX-MenAll in one universe, what happens
>>150451000>Nu-uh!Wow. What a great argument. You've really gotten me in iron jawed grip of rhetoric.Actually read comics before you comment on things.
>>150450617Like >>150450687 said, the majority of Big 2 characters would be better off in their own universes. Or at least groups of characters. Some could exist as variants in multiple realities, but by and large it'd be far better if every character had a chance to thrive properly in a setting that was appropriate to them. Big 2 universes are so full of contradictory BS that it doesn't make sense for the world to exist as is. Magic is uber-powerful but nobody can do anything with it. 20 supergeniuses are running around at all times but nothing progresses. Out of these 20 supergeniuses every single one is some writer's pet and they get stories that make them THE gigabrain with some magic-esque techno invention to the point of absurdity. Ghost Rider is a demon or a literal God Angel sent to dish out justice, but Christianity isn't actually real but mythological gods exist but alien gods exist too and there's mutation goop sent by mysterious cosmic gods and... Punisher alone breaks the narrative as at some point you'd think he'd just drink some super-juice, turn bulletproof, learn some basic magic, and start murdering people with a magic second rate Iron Man armour. But no, he rolls around in a van...Just think how much better "Hub" Universes would be.>MGSxZone Of The Enders AU compromised of Iron Man, SHIELD/Fury/etc, Cap, AIM and so on>X-Verse>MagicVerse>Space Opera for the FF and Cosmic charactersYou can't have Strange as Sorcerer Supreme next to an intergalactic empire and Spider-Man still webslinging through Queens while Reed goes from inventing teleporters to infinite food. It's idiotic. For my money it'd be far more interesting if certain characters appeared in other "Hubs" but changed to fit the setting. Like say Reed exists in the Iron Man/SHIELD Verse, but he's just some big brain scientist who's working on space colonies, not a stretchy sciencegod. Or Strange existing in the FFVerse and being more SciFi Magic than regular Magic. Stuff like that.
>>150450617Batman
>>150451212>you can have a character self contained to their "world" while being part of a shared universeIt stops making sense if you think a little bit.
>>150450757The difference is that a mutant is seen as someone without humanity while someone who gains powers is someone who knows what humanity is that's why there more forgiving. In the same way society will be willing to accept a white pedophile more then a black thief, because society sees the white pedophile as someone with more humanity then the black thief
>>150450825>self preservation instincts are retarded Ftfy dumb white bitch
>>150451937Not really
>>150450617Ghost Rider.
>>150452728You sort of can but it usually takes your audience also accepting it. Like it's super easy to say "This is a Spider-man story okay, just enjoy some Spider-man" and most readers will be like yeah that's fine but then you'll either get an autismo say "pfft where's the Fantastic Four during all this? Not a peep huh?" or Editorial saying "hey we've got the Avengers analizes the X-men crossover, so if you wouldn't mind interrupting your current arc to create a prologue tie-in that won't be relevant in any way or shape for the rest of the story....that'd be great"
>>150451212You joke but the first three in one universe don't seem so bad. Fuck X-Men though.
>>150450617DaredevilUnironically Spider-Man. He works better as a strictly street level character, and the crossovers aren't 100% necessary
>>150450617All of them. The shared universe thing sucks ass.
>>150450617I see what you mean with Punisher MAX being a thing, but I enjoy Frank in a team setting
>>150454534meh
>>150450617all of them
>>150454534Who’s the black guy with static electric Afro powers?
>>150458308Brother Voodoo
>>150452777This.
>>150450617Majority of them would actually benefit from bein in their own self-contained universe. The best examples of this would be supernatural characters and characters part of a superhuman race.
>>150450715Go cry about it X-tranny. I hope you embrace your inner Revelation while you are at it.
>>150450617I would honestly divide the universe into several categories.>Human UniverseNon-superhuman protagonists and their supporting characters go here.>Science UniverseNon-superhuman protagonists that use science and their supporting characters go here.>Magic UniverseMagic using protagonists and their supporting characters go here.>Superhuman UniverseMutate, mutants, and their supporting characters go here.>Cosmic UniverseThe Earth is destroyed in this universe. Non-Earthling protagonists that aren't based on Earth and their supporting characters go here. Alternate variant of aliens and their empires that exist in the other universes also exist here.>God UniverseAll gods and cosmetic entities go here. It's a special location that exist outside the universe, sort of like DC's Fourth World.
>>150450864>"this is massive security risk/these mutants are going to replace us/rule over us."do anti muties hate super soldiers, hulk, spiderman, fucking aliens, fantastic four, and the other myriad of superhumans
