Any other life stage and a sitcom kind of *has* to be a family sitcom.I'd bring up Office/workplace Comedies as a counterpoint, a setting/genre where you can have a wider age range of adult people constantly interacting with other unrelated adults where spouses and children often aren't a focus but you kind of need to have experience with that sort of employment. A lot of that work has factually dried up, been outsourced or automated or gone remote. Regardless the type of people who'd make something like Wastelandia don't have personal experience working the sort of jobs that lend themselves to workplace comedies.
