The only thing that makes KC memorable is the art and you can't replicate that in animation. Plot is basically Injustice with a more apathetic Superman.

The characters in kingdom come were all much older and struggling with maintaining their ideals of heroism as they detach from the humanity that contextualized it. Injustice is a one bad day plot that works and the actual story is back and forth gotchas between batman and superman.
