Why did Injustice Supergirl fail to gain an audience and never reach the same level of popularity as DCU/MAWS Karas?

I love how a one minute cameo overshadowed MCU Sue Storm who had an entire movie to herself.

If she was gonna be more popular her story should be something like siding with Batman until something happens like her friends dying to a criminal Batman saved that makes her switch to Supes side. That would be unique since the Injustice series treats Superman killing criminals as worse than Hitler. That's why I hope 3 does something unique and makes evil-Batman the villain and Supes the good guy so it'd at least try something different.

a poor design and even less character; most iterations of kara at least are easy on the eyes despite inconsistent writing but injustice is the worst i've seen her look

Has ANY of the Injustice versions of the characters really caught on? There are a small handful of moments in the comic that get memed like the Butlering and Plastic Man but overall the character designs kinda suck, the story is retarded, and the main appeal is just that it's a DC Mortal Kombat
