Fantasy comic thread. Pic related.
Pic related is nice but I wish they went into the backstory of the viking-aztec hybrid elves a bit more. It's obvious there's a lot of hidden lore behind them but it's all kept as a big mystery. I like the stuff we get about human and orc societies but the bad guys are still mostly unknown, other than that they sailed to America and got super fucked up somehow.
>>150480166I wished that finished.AnywayI nominate Dungeon (French Donjon)Head Lopper and Bird King
I've never seen this one mentioned on /co/ but it's pretty entertaining. Basically it's a fantasy world where magic got fucked up, so now the only way anyone can do magic anymore is by using up the inherent magic in dead magical creatures and artifacts, and the main dude is looking for a way to get enough magic to save his waifu from an orc tribe. Twists happen as everyone has their own agenda. There's also a sequel which was less good but still fun.
If you don't know Lewis Trondheim first of all shame on you, and second go read Ralph Azham. Or Dungeon, but >>150480249 already mentioned that one so I'll go with Ralph Azham here. While Ralph Azham does have its share of humor it's not a full-on fantasy comedy like Dungeon was and more like a coming of age hero's journey style fantasy adventure. In a fantasy world where some people are randomly born with blue hair and superpowers, Ralph Azham is a teenager with the amazing power to know exactly how many children someone has. Since he was supposed to be the "chosen one" but ended up having a shit power and is kind of a useless asshole otherwise, he's treated like shit by most people in his village. Of course, destiny eventually arrives and a sprawling adventure begins.
