I know the movie is a gay story but what was the allegory behind the robot getting stuck at the beach?
I didn't watch the movie but I am mildly curious what that was supposed to represent.
>>
>>150482380
Very muddled metaphor and didn't like the repetitive framing device or the blueball ending.

The director said it's inspired by a friendship he himself had, yet the movie plays much more like a romance. The director himself isn't gay. Europeans are just zesty I guess.

But then what was the beach thing about? Was there an obvious allegory or just a complication for the sake of a story?

I have no idea, that's why I said the metaphor is muddled.

Yeah, it feels like it should be representing some sort of specific life event that would separate people from one another, but I can't tell what it's supposed to be either. Like the robot being stuck on the beach and the dog leaving him seems like such an intentional decision that it must "mean" something, especially since there are a bunch of weird plot justifications for why he can't get him back despite him trying.

This is 4chan, where all relationships are of a sexual nature. No exceptions.
