Post-Movie is the Paul Tibbitt seasons with increasingly stiff storyboarding and more awkward jokes, whereas Post-Sequel is where Hillenburg briefly came back and there was a greater emphasis on more expressive and cartoony visual gags. Unfortunately, they went too hard in that direction and now the show is style over substance; it's very rare to find a new slapstick joke that flows naturally and doesn't feel like it's all in your face.
