>>150501200>>150501227>>150501251I admire your dedication to manually draw your panels. picrel is a test scan sorry i dont have any sketches scanned yet.pacing is panelling in a nutshell, but you will find comic readers have developed a preference to once style of comic over another. For example manga readers might look at your panels and think its not dynamic enough. western/DC comic readers might call the compositions "too manga-like". other manga readers might say "this is outdated shounen style. I want the pages in a scroller format with massive gaps of white space"Long story short I just use techniques from the comics I like. in the script if there is a moment I want to emphesize, I usually use bigger panels for it. Generally I want to use as few panels per page as I can, which means most times I find was to squish multiple actions/events into one panel. visual clarity is a top priority next to pace which also means keeping continuity with the background/setting. trying to adhere to the 180 rule as much as I can blah blah blahin your case I see you are sticking to a 4 row format. there isnt anything wrong with it, manga artists swap between 3 to 4 rows all the time when the need arises, but 3 rows give room for larger panels, which you can use for strategic moments of emphesis
