I don't find Jax that complex of a character if I'm being honest, he is entertaining but once you get to the "I'm the funny guy" autism it just sorta crumbles down and he really comes off as a cringelord (I know that's the point but it's really telling how the show can have him admit as much to the audience and the audience still believing he is doing it for everyone's well being or hat deep down he is really the kindest or something mushy like that)the thing is, as much as folks believe he provides a "much needed" key dynamic I doubt things would be worse than they already are if it didn't exist in the first place. its been shown that you can sorta embrace the absurdity and chaos of the circus without turning yourself into a flat caricature, you could theoretically spend eternity just chilling and forming a small community without forcing the whole "you are this character and so you should react this way and I'm this other character and will react this other way" autism but Jax just wants to think he has control over the situation by consuming himself in a role he provides to himself and the others around him
