>The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actually did appear at Walt Disney World in the early 1990s. When their popularity exploded thanks to the cartoon, movies, and toys, Disney made a deal to feature them at Disney–MGM Studios (today’s Hollywood Studios). Starting in 1990, the four turtles, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael, along with April O’Neil, appeared in a live stage show called the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shell Shockin’ Rockin’ Time Tour and in meet-and-greets. They would arrive in a turtle-themed van as part of a little street show. April O’Neil would introduce them, and then they’d perform a short dance/martial-arts routine to music. Afterward, guests could take photos with the turtles and April. Their run at the park was relatively short, roughly 1990 to 1996, but for kids of that era it was a big deal, since the turtles were at their peak of pop culture fame.Would have been better if Disney kept the rights of TMNT forever since the 90s?
