>>150533173And boy, if you didn't think Sam was evil before...
>>150533192I do think she is evil, I hope she fucking dies, Boco!
>>150533192Don't get a swelled head, Sam.
>>150533259
>>150533286Ha ha, you're so funny, Mark!
>>150533173reading bump

>>150533318>Even the microfilm?>Even the microFICHE...
>>150533329For the uninitiated, it was during Sam's trip to Europe that she took her first life.
>>150533350Like a kid in a candy store...

>>150533489What the fuck, Sam?WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?
if sam survives this series im gonna be pissed off bitch needs to die
>>150533506Wow. Just...wow.
>>150533523
>>150533545Eh, no biggie, just say you left a box of old porn in there and you want it back.
>>150533563To be continued! Thanks for reading. If you liked it go pick up a copy.
>>150533577is there a way i can take away a copy from someone because of how much i hate sam
>>150533626Buy two I guess?
>>150533701no thats the opposite boco. have a good night
>both parents just disappear off the face of the earthHow did she not get suspected again?
>>150534292Everyone thinks they moved to Florida, I guess.
>>150534292>>150534308Is America really so retarded people can disappear forever and nobody suspects so long as they said they were moving? Then again, 99% of serial killers only succeeded due to the authorities being profoundly and intensely retarded rather than any actual competence on the part of the killer.
>>150534401Its a small town.
>>150533259wtf
>>150533173The duck-rabbit ad is very clever.
>>150534401I mean, everyone in town knows and trusts Sam, so if she says her folks are still in Florida they'll believe her.
>>150533286She looks thick while sitting on that toilet.
>>150533304Weird...
>>150534680ohsam how are your parents. havent heard from them in a while. say can i ask for their number or adress. haha no way you wont have any of those unless your a horrible child or if i dont haha if you killed them and ditch their bodies in the forest haha thats just silly right anyways give me their infomation or im caling the cops
>>150533350Sam's dad is D-FENS? No wonder she's a killer.
>>150533350Did that prequel comic get a storytime?
>>150534780Actually yeah. This has issue 1, the whole first series, and the prequel.https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/149349194/#149349194
And for completion's sake here's issue 2.https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/150089418/#150089418>The risk I took was complicated, but man...I am bad at math.
I hate this comic on many levels. >>150534401> Is America reallyAnon, it’s a comic book about a cartoon bear serial killer. It’s not real.
>>150534857Why the hate Anon?
>>150534401>Is America really so retarded people can disappear forever and nobody suspects so long as they said they were moving?Police allowed Jeffrey Dahmer to walk away with an underage boy whose skull he drilled into and bled everywhere on the street. They shrugged it off as a "lovers quarrel" instead of arresting Dahmer.
>>150534834I just finished saving issue 1 and came back here to ask for issue 2, but you pre-empted me.DON'T shut the FUCK UP, Boco
>>150534764You're overthinking it. Its a quiet little town where everyone knows each other and trusts one another explicitly. Sam's word is good enough, and no one wants to shake things up by going and looking for them personally. Nice and stagnant.
>>150534951No...ma'am? But you're welcome Anon. I'm glad so many people here like the comic, its really good.
>>150533523Nice cosplay of Smokey Bear, Sam.
>>150535003Glad you posted them, I archive all things that I like. You never know when it might just disappear forever.
>>150534802Thanks
>>150534985youre right, no one wants to reminiscence or reconnect with 2 people they probably known their whole life in a small town where everyone knows each other. haha how silly of me of to think that NO ONE would ever think of giving away chrostmas cards or letters or form of communication within small town. im sorry for my retardation
>bikini pantiesDisgusting
>>150535352That's just regular girl underwear, anon. I know it's confusing for you anon, since you've never seen a girl without her pants on before.
>>150533121crud, i missed issue 2. link me boco
>>150535553Nigga its right herehttps://batcave.biz/
Damn she has a fat ass
I'd like to see an animated adaptation with Melanie Lynskey as the voice of Sam
>>150533523The matter of fact way she does all this is unsettling.
The author trapped himself. There is no way to end this story in a satisfying way. He will either piss off people, or disappoint them
>>150534292I mean, she did throw them into the river with a car. It's kinda more hilarious that they never found them
>>150534906I guess that anon hates it, because the main character is an unbeatable, smug psychopath
>>150534401No this is very unrealistic, first-world countries keep strict records on everyone unless powerful people want them hidden
>>150534401No lol It would've worked out better if they had moved and unexpectedly come back for a visit and caught her
>>150534985That's what city people think. All small town people have is drama, plus it's ridiculous to think Sam's parents weren't friends with a bunch of people in town who would've known their plans and been asking after them
>>150534401I said I didn’t think she murdered her parents last issue, guess I was wrong. I think it’s probably the most unrealistic thing the comic has done. It’s one thing to say people in town trust Sam but did her parents have no other friends or family who would want to keep in touch? How did Sam get ownership of their store, house or any of their assets without them either being declared dead or being physically being present with witnesses to sign them over to her? Does she own property in Florida to file their taxes from every year? There have been cases where someone hasn’t declared a parent dead to continue collecting their pensions but that was usually individuals who were already shut-ins and recluses so no-one noticed. Sam’s parents seemed like a part of the community so for them to just up sticks to Florida without telling anyone then never contacting anyone but Sam ever again would be suspicious as fuck, especially during the time she was considered the suspect in the first volume.
She put them in paint cans which is how they discovered some of "Nigel's" victims. It still doesn't work too well but it's a possible out. Why not just have her move out in the first place? Weird choice.
If Monica isn't the one taking down Sam I'm done with the comic
>>150536782Yeah, that's a really big part of it. She's not even psycho in a fun kind of way. She doesn't kill with any sort of passion, either. It's all "ho hum, gotta fill these paint cans."Sam is like the grey ass, rainy November Sunday of serial killers. The muddy ass coloring and anemic line work aren't helping.>>150536771He didn't manage to stick the landing in the first series either.
>>150534292>>150534308>>150534401This was the 70's. It was more difficult for people to stay in touch back then. And this should go without mentioning but people are fucking retarded but there was no social media back then. When someone you knew moved away unless you made an active effort to keep in touch throug the mail or by phone, which depending on the distance could be expemsive with long dostance charges, there's a good chance you'd never see them again Sam's parents told everyone they were going to Florida vacation and Sam simply ram with that and told everyone they decided to stay It doesn't seem like they had any relatives or close friends in woodbrook who would have reasons to want to see or talk to them. And everyome else had no reason to distrust Sam about where they were and had no reason to stick their nose in her business. Theu simply took her word for it.There's a reason why serial killers were so prevalent in this era.
I just want the sexy duck to kill that stupid bear asap.
>>150533121Bump
How mad is everyone gonna be when Sam gets away with it again at the end of this? My guess is this just a set up for the inevitable third possible last part of the story
>>150539621Heh, nice cover
>>150535845nice
>>150533121We're supposed to hate Sam right?
>>150539875Yes.
>>150533523I actually really like how she compares her killing her parents as a “final exam” sort of like a final test to show her commitment to this new life she’d have and complete her transformation into full-on psychopath.
>>150537971>He didn't manage to stick the landing in the first series either.I think it worked fine as a one-shot series. But continuing it was a terrible idea, if he wanted to do more of this shit he should have added a new protagonist at least.
>>150539875Are we?
>>150537971>Sam is like the grey ass, rainy November Sunday of serial killers.that's oddly poetic for a 4chan
>>150539875fuck if I knew. she's not really likable, but this is her story, so she's the point of view character
>>150536186Wow someone else who had the same thought, eerie
>>150533121So Samantha Strong is probably a canon virgin?
>>150533523HAH! I FUCKING CALLED IT
>>150541724She doesn't seem to have any sexual drive whatsoever.
>>150541838In the first episode her head falls off and it's connected to rainbow snakes. She's a repressed gay, that's why she's inevitably going to fuck the duck.
>>150541898Man, who knows what the fuck that scene meant.
This is gonna be a silence of the lambs deal where the duck bitch ask a higher up serial killer on how to locate the woodbrook killer
>>150533121Sam won't be able to escape from him
>>150541724Murder makes her cum
>>150541724Yes
pity bomp
>>150538007Again, anon, the issue is legal matter. How did Sam come to own the store if the parents never handed it over and never got filed as dead for her to inherit it?
>>150545690This is a good point. Sooner or later the IRS is going to get involved
>>150545708As funny as Sam getting capone'd would be, I doubt the author even realizes the legal issues that would come from her running and owning properties she does not legally own.
>>150545708>>150545773You're operating under the assumption that Sam needs to legally transfer her parents assets to herself for some retarded reason when she doesn't actually need to. On paper her dad probably still owns the store and she probably lists herself as an employee only and she just files her parents taxes and mails them in. Simple. As.long as the irs gets paid and she isn't collecting pensions for them or something the irs.has no reason to investigate. Sam just tells the people of Woodbrook her dad passed it on to her and they have no reason to look into her business to see otherwise.
>>150546091Whoops meant for >>150545690
>>150545773Assuming Woodbrook even keeps track of that stuff. Its a really old fashioned town.
Do you think Nigel wanted to be taken advantage of by Sam
go sam go
>>150533259Lmao they finally acknowledged her head is big
>>150535845She's hot alright.
>>150537478imagine if its someone from the mole family that kills Sam in the end lmao
>>150533523I bet that car will be found later on, just watch.
>>150533259Fucking Dobson and his self inserts.
>>150548188No?
>>150552599heh
>>150533304What the fuck is funny?
>>150533304It’s pronounced sword
>>150533523Sam needs to get her comeuppance.
>>150533506She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind.
>>150533577This looks like the set up for a bad sitcom.
>>150533563>So hey, stranger on an online forum, I think I can help you find your missing brother>yeah, all you have to do is come to my town and break into this house, I swear it'll be worth itIt seems to have gotten a bit lost in all the parent murder talk, but how is this not suspicious as fuck to Monica?
>>150551625It would have been cooler with no set up. >The lake dries out. Sam gets increasingly nervous as the water level drops. Or someone forms a high school scuba club and the instructor turns up dead. Big city cops or the FBI show up to investigate.
>>150557505It is. Why did you think she was asking enquiring about Sam?
>>150557520"Nevermind, its just the high school's discarded homecoming float."
>>150557505Early internet days, well for normies at least, and Craigslist serial killers still hadn't become a thing in the public consciousness yet. Plus Sam didn't actually tell her to meet her at Woodbrook just that she would find answers about her brother there and Monica was desperate enough to go look after nearly a decade of scouring the city and coming up with nothing. Sam completely blindsided her when she introduced herself and forced herself into Monica's search.
>>150533432Can’t you just poke a hole where your mouth is to breath?
>>150533121Will she ever get caught? Sam's the kind of character you hate so much you want to see them get what's coming to them. I think it's the smug way she does things
>>150557763She said the bag was soaked in chloroform
>>150557811Depends how long they want this series to go on for. My gut feeling is she probably won't be caught in this part. I don't think they should drag it out for too long either. Making it a proper trilogy and finishing her off at the end would be the best course.of action. Pushing it any further than that would be unsatisfactory
>>150557991Gonna suck when Monica gets killed, hopefully when or if Sam does bite the dust it's by someone connected to someone she killed
>>150533506>>150557308A lobotomy would have fixed Sam.
>>150542798kek
>>150558018One of the possums hopefully.
Request?
>>150533121bump
>>150564140Imagine how awful it'd be if this ends wirh Sam and Muhnicca having wet and sloppy hate sex
>>150564140Requesting Sam dressed up as a clown in reference to John Wayne Gacy.
>>150564140Melody riding her fake husband
Unfortunately things like this do happen. Sam could get away with dumping that car for a long time.
>>150564140Something involving the Bunny Barista, maybe a photo of her at her home undressing in front of a window.
>>150533379Oh hey, Sally's all grown up.
>>150533121Apologize to him.
Sam is a sociopath, right?
>>150568705No. Nigel was even more of a sicko than Sam. While they're both evil for taking innocent people's lives without remorse, Nigel was a sadist who got off on causing both his victims and their loved ones suffering. The only time Sam ever did that purposely was with Nigel himself for the irony.
>>150568825Nigel didn't kill his mom
>>150568846No, because he felt emotional connections with people, positive and negative (best illustrated by his changing attitude to Sam when he admires her and desires to be admired by her, then hates and wants to destroy her). Sam doesn't feel those kinds of emotions. She didn't care about Nigel, her own parents or any of her victims. She's a legit psychopath, Nigel wasn't.
Im super into slashers both good and bad but this display of a murder was metal as fuck
>>150570667poor martin
>>150569007So Sam is more of a sicko.
>>150572249Depends on how you look at it. Personally I'd say being indifferent to people's suffering like Sam is less sick than actively seeking to cause and enjoy their suffering like Nigel did. As someone who displays a capacity for empathy, Nigel had the option of not becoming a monster and he still chose to do it. Sam, as someone entirely lacking in empathy, I don't think ever had that option.
>>150572533Nigel could be redeemed. Sam is far too gone and needs to be put down.
>>150572683How do you redeem someone that did this >>150570667?
>>150572695With meds. The fact that he feels emotional connections is a sign there's something there.
>>150533121Boco, you dumb fucking idiot, how have you been on this website for 20 goddamn years and still don't know the difference between "its" and "it's"?Thanks for the storytime
>>150566058Something tells me the rainbow snakes are gonna come back even if it wasn't planned that way.>>150557714Maybe I'm dumb but what exactly is Sam's purpose for inviting Monica? If it's "hurr durr I'm just bored and want the thrill of almost getting caught" that's weak.
>>150572683>too far goneI don't think she was ever there, that's kinda my point. Sam was always fundamentally broken, that's what being a true psychopath is. Nigel chose to do the things he did and maybe he could have chosen to change, sure. But it wouldn't bring back any of his victims or undo the trauma he caused. I think once someone's taken an innocent life it's fair enough for them to have theirs taken in return, that goes for both of them. Your mileage may vary.>>150572793>what exactly is Sam's purpose for inviting Monica? That's still not clear. Knowing Sam she definitely has a plan but what that is is anyone's guess.
Anyone else not generally a big fan of the whole "Story about serial killer except they're the protagonist because there's an even worse serial killer that's too evil for them and they have to stop them"Like even if the story doesn't show the bear lady as a hero or whatever, which I'm sure you'll tell me, it's still a plot I see way too damn much.
For the record, here's issue 4's solicit.>Monica is inching closer and closer to discovering the truth about her brother’s death... willing to do anything — cross any line — to make it happen. Samantha Strong should be worried, but instead, the thrill has never been greater. Her unwitting prey is squirming in her clutches. For Samantha, this is where the real fun begins.Nothing for 5 yet.
>>150572973>it's still a plot I see way too damn muchI can only think of Dexter and I suppose if you're including incarcerated killers who help the authorities catch a killer, Silence of the Lambs and Mindhunter. Are there other examples?
>>150573007>Sam continuing to let her get closer solely out of thrill-seekingIf the author has literally any sense, this story is gonna end up with her getting put down like the bear.
>>150573007Weaaaaak.
>>150573007>>150573047Monica is gonna get arrested
>>150573030Those are the ones I thought of on the top of my head but it's just not a plot I like. I think it's lame.
>>150573030At least Dexter is supposed to be LE GOOD serial killer
>>150573325Isn't that worse? This comic never asks or expects the reader to sympathise with Sam, it's just following her story.
>>150573967It makes it more obnoxious that she hasn't been caught yet if anything
thanks for this.
>>150567948Cool continuity.
>>150572533Sam is definitely enjoying Monica’s suffering and at the same time she needs someone to know how clever she is- which is fairly typical serial killer behavior.
>>150577988>Sam is definitely enjoying Monica’s sufferingI don't know about that, it feels more like she's enjoying her own smug sense of satisfaction in manipulating her than getting off on any pain she has caused or will cause her. It seems like Monica's just another handy tool to Sam to be used for her purposes.>she needs someone to know how clever she isThis, I don't necessarily discount. The fact Sam's thoughts are presented as being written down in a journal of some kind might point to the fact she intends to reveal everything eventually (either if she is arrested or dies) because she wants people to know what she did and how she got away with it. But until that point it seems she would much rather nobody know anything. Nigel's meddling and Monica's pursuit of her brother were both dangers to her otherwise stable routine she feels the need to remove.
>>150578435>But until that point it seems she would much rather nobody know anything. Nigel's meddling and Monica's pursuit of her brother were both dangers to her otherwise stable routine she feels the need to remove.that's why i don't like it, it's OOC. making her an overly arrogant smuglord isn't an awful approach (as cliche as it is) but it needs to be written well and from what we've seen it just isn't
>>150579753I want to believe Horvath has a reason for writing this plot the way he has, but the biggest thing that doesn’t make sense currently is why Sam would even care about Monica at all. If she was worried Monica might actually figure things out and track her down it feels like there are plenty of other ways she could have handled that (she came to Woodbrook on her anonymous tip, she could have sent her anywhere on a wild goose chase - she could have sent her somewhere remote and just murdered her as well). There surely IS a specific reason she’s doing all this, it just hasn’t been revealed yet. If there’s not, or that reason turns out to make no sense, then yeah I’ll admit that’s kinda shit. But I’m not gonna judge this plot until we reach that point.
>>150579753>>150580378I initially thought that Sam was starting to feel her age and wanted to groom Monica into becoming her successor, but now I think Sam just wants one last big hurrah and for Monica to take the fall for it.
>>150572683Yeah, atleast Nigel had a soul
>>150533304Sam maxed out on charisma.
>>150580378>but the biggest thing that doesn’t make sense currently is why Sam would even care about Monica at all.My brother in /co/ that is what issue 2 was all about - Sam is becoming more and more nihilistic and self-destructive and she couldn't stop herself from stirring the pot when it turned out that she and Monica were connected via an overlapping obsession. Go re-read it.
