Monkey Wrench would have probably something of a hit if it came out in the 00s but there's just no aspect of it that stands out nowadays especially for people who didn't grow up watching Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Firefly also Zeruel suffers the same problem Harry does in which they don't really know how to market to an audience outside their core ones so their design philosophy don't lend themselves well to fan art (Speedoru also has this problem too to an extent but he's also a coomer artist so even if people don't get the references they'll find something to like about it). So Monkey Wrench doesn't have a well known and popular artist attached to it (Hellaverse) and didn't win the algorithm jackpot (Glitch!) so its just never going to reach the heights that the creators want but its fine for now at the very least they're sticking to their guns with their vision.
