There are so many ways they could have gone with this and the fact they chose to go with nothing but an earthbound slugfest and an assailant without discernible motives is absolutely baffling. Very good series. I got the paperback and then started finding the issues in the dollar bin. If introduced me to a bunch characters I never read about and then it was also brutal seeing them get genuinely fucked up by Doomsday.
