Alright, so for a few of these years they actually had a "theme" instead of being a "swimsuit" special. If I had to guess why I'd say it had to do with the whole culture war shit being in full swing and making a "bikini" comic was seen as "gross" or "weird" by leftist prudes who'd make hit pieces on anyone stepping out of line. So because of that the 2021 issue has a fantasy and sci-fi theme. Isn't it great how shit from only 4 years ago like the culture war already feels antiquated and a relic of the past and I have to explain all this for context?

Here's the 2019 issue, this one had a "pinup" theme. For some additional details absolutely nobody asked for, you might notice these next few issues are digital and not scanned with a cheap ass scanner from 1998, and that's because Udon used to publish these digitally before moving to physical only. Truthfully the reason I started buying these comics was because I remember the old Street Fighter swimsuit storytimes being comfy and when Udon went all digital, the storytimes stopped as well, so I decided to go out to my local goodwill, buy the cheapest scanner they had, buy the Udon comics, then storytime them myself. Honestly, you could probably find these next few issues really easily on readcomiconline or something, but I said I would storytime all of them and I'm not about to go back on my word

So normally I'd end one of these threads by saying "Hope you have a great summer!" but because Udon is ran by some galaxy brained geniuses that shipped this in the Autumn/Fall I'll instead ask how everyone's summer went? Good I hope. Not to dox myself but I live in a usually pretty warm to hot area and had an unusually cool summer throughout June - August, with the temperatures finally rising in September and staying pretty hot, and now the usually dry heat of my area is really humid and muggy. Hopefully not a sign of the changing times. So imma be honest frens, this will probably be the last Street Fighter Swimsuit special I storytime. Back in the day these threads would nearly hit the bump limit for a single issue, now I can upload the entire saga and have maybe a dozen anons in the thread (sucks that they got rid of the ip counter). Maybe all the old fags left, maybe this board is just dead. To be honest I think this is the third time I've been on /co/ this year, the last time I was here there was a Harley Quinn fart fetish comic being storytimed. I don't think there's much left for me here anymore lol. Sorry to end the storytime on such a sour note, on the bright side the culture war shit seems to be ending and the future looks bright for media of this type. Who knows, maybe we'll start to see swimsuit specials become a regular occurrence every summer for other comics.
