Adventure Time has avoided atrophying in the way long running franchises usually do, by not regurgitating the same old premise and format ad infinitum. It's helped that there hasn't been a lot of content in the last 7 years also. Just the 4 specials and Fionna. I don't want endless AT forever, but Fionna season 2 is fine by me. The SideQuests spinoff I am more wary of.
