I already asked this in a previous thread, but I didn't get many answers...Why doesn't Jax form a close, or at least deeper bond with Caine?If the reason he pushes everyone away is because it hurts too much when they abstract, or because he thinks that getting close to anyone will speed up the process for both parties, then why wouldn't he attach himself to the one person that he knows who cannot abstract or die on him?Jax keeping Kinger at arms length sort of makes sense because the gang's perception of him is that he's ready to lose it any day now, but even if Jax knew about Kinger's resilience, he's still crazy most of the time and thus not optimal for socializing with.Caine on the other hand, while unstable and glitches out somewhat frequently, isn't going anywhere. I've been working hard on theories about what could cause episode 7 to be so controversial. Before I give them, here's the evidence we have so far (in addition to everything that's happened in the show itself, obviously):- Goose has said, I believe multiple times, that the episode will piss people off, and in particular that it will piss off the "right" people.- Michael Kovach said that he told a friend about what will happen in the episode, and the friend said it was "dumb," though Kovach himself likes "the direction" it's taking. Kovach liking it must be taken with a grain of salt since he's a VA on the show and friend of the creator.- Goose's one-word summary of the episode is "huh?" and the next episode's is "OH"- Goose said the episode's production was difficult, and but they ultimately succeeded in making sure it "only" pissed off the right people rather than *everyone*.- The leaked picture of Jax laying his head down looking weary and/or traumatized somewhere in the dark.
