I liked him in that direct to DVD animation where Superman, Martian Manhunter and him team-up to beat Parasite. Also hottest Lois design in a long while, no wonder he was humping the air during their interview.

Lobo's great. I'd love to see more of him on the silver screen, but I also dread how they'd try to 'modernize' him for the terminally offended.

He's a bit like Tommy Monohagan- a really cool/fun character who's semi-adjacent to the JL shenanigans with some good stories, but who'd get trashed by some retard trying to re-invent them in their own image.
