Spider-Man is Unreadable, it's time for change... Here is why 616 Spider-Man needs a reboot... The 616 Spider-Man comics have become overloaded with decades of retcons, contradictions, and confusing storylines. With countless spin-offs, volumes, and reboots, it’s harder than ever for new readers to jump into Peter Parker’s main story. I think it's time for marvel to reboot the Spider-Man comics from the scratch yes you heard that right. A reboot might actually not be so bad of a idea. It could breath fresh life into the character. The Spider-Man character, ever since his inception in the 1960s, has gone throught so many editoral and writing teams that the amount of tones and writing drections that this character has been put throught has been nearly unbearable. Not only has the personality of the characters in this book been widly inconsistent up untill now, We have also had countless retcons and rewrites that overwrite previous stories.
>>150657110It's too late.
>>150657110They'll do it on the condition that it begins with Gwen getting the SNAP!
>>150657110To streamline him woukd require pruning trash characters that certain people desperately want to keep pushing.
>>150657110Just kill Peter off and have Miles take over
>>150657110it doesn't need to be rebooted from the top, but some where around 400. Aunt May Dead. Ben Reilly, his "brother", dead. FIrst baby dead from natural causes. norman Stays dead. No spider totem, no sins past no OMD. Let Peter and MJ build a family, while struggling in their marriage. Keep the ancillary titles. time jump to focus the spider kids they have.
>>150657110Marvel would rather die than to reboot anything, which is mostly a good thing.
>>150657110ASM is good currently. I’m enjoying Peter Spacer and Nor-Man.
>>150657110That's what my Minus One pitch is meant to accomplish. Reset the series and establish a new status quo with enough substance to stand alone relative to the original
>>150657621I like the space stuff but the earth shit is just an utter shambles covered in Wells and Lowe's shit and cum.
>>150657110not really necessary op. main problem gets fixed with picrel, the rest follows suit swiftly.
>>150657110You do realize that'd mean rebooting the entire universe, right?
>>150657582No one wants anything from clone wars. A dummy reboot with that fucking shit gone is needed.
>>150657803Good.Do you like the current status quo?
>>150657851I don't keep up with comics, so I have no idea what it is, therefore I have no opinion on it.But there are several things I remember liking and I'd prefer they remain canon, so unless the hypothetical reboot has all of that (which is a lot of stuff not everyone knows or cares about) then I'm as against it as I was when DC turned a Flash story into an excuse to throw away the plots of everything else they had.
Oh boy here comes some of my shitty fanfiction, some of it about a comic and the rest about a business I don't understand! Everyone tune in!
>>150657944Too bad.>>150657951There are web comic authors who jack about comics making more.
>>150657110Rebooting is retarded. How many fucking times do we need to see Peter get bit by a fucking spider and Uncle Ben shot. In 2001 JMS came in with a shit-ton of baggage on the book. The Clone Saga stink was still there, we just came out of Chapter One, Peter was barely in the fucking book because of Mackie’s obsession with some Senator character, and they tried to do away with MJ yet again. Y’know what JMS did? He just fucking ignored all that and told better stories. And sales fucking tripled. It’s literally as easy as that. In the 100 year history of comic books reboots have literally never fixed anything and just made things worse. Just ignore what’s stupid and forge on.
>>150657110Y'know what needs rebooting? Marvel's computers so that they lose all of their progress on the books, kek.
>>150657110>616 Spider-Man should be rebootedIt already was, nigger.
