The set-up for Keith coming back and being a bigger antagonist for Chirs is cool, but it's a shame we will likely not get a season 3.Overall, this season reminds me of Amazon's The Tick. The first season was focused and well made, then season 2 is a meandering mess with some good ideas that don't get paid off because it gets cancelled.

I enjoyed Peacemaker season 2, but I am getting a little tired of the trope James Gunn does where a character gives a big monologue only to die horrifically mid speech.

I think Gunn's shows in general (except CC where there was barely anytime for anything) tend to be padded out with those kinds of dragged out jokes, although even GOTG Vol. 2 suffered from that problem. His better movies like Suicide Squad was where he perfected his formula and Superman's jokes were more lowkey (if it was written like Peacemaker then the monkey gag wouldn't be allowed to speak for itself, instead the characters will point it out and proceed to argue about it for a minute before moving on).

Economos, Fleury, and Vigilante have been standouts this season, and despite Judomaster immediately becoming a turbo-flanderized version of his already flimsy character in S2, the actor's delivered some funny lines at least. The show, on the whole, is just a significant quality drop from S1.
