You know it's weird that they're not marketing this movie as much as I thought they would, the final trailer released and it only had like 2m views last time I checked

Disney's romantic subplots feel like they learned romance from Chinese movies. Kissing scenes in Disney movies are always quick, forgettable and devoid of passion. Probably because Disney did some internal study and found out that X percent of the target demographic doesn't like romance and kissing scenes make them uncomfortable. If Nick and Judy kiss, expect it to be a quick, slightly awkward peck on the closed lips and it's over so fast if the movie cut it completely it wouldn't affect the story at all.

And that's because they don't bother putting in scenes that establish the romantic tension and build up the audience's anticipation-- unless they're shippers in which case every interaction will be interpreted as romantic anyway. And that's what makes Disney's recent romance scenes feel all the more insincere and cold-- they're basically just tacked on to make shippers happy without alienating asexual zoomers and little kids by having a genuine love story in the movie's core. They start with weak setup and anticipation followed by an unsatisfying payoff, because Disney mistakenly thinks that the only people who care about love scenes are shippers who will praise even the barest of bones being tossed their way.

>we’ve made this entire sequel to pander to furfags who ship Judy x Nick

Good to know this sequel will suck

right, because the original wasn't made to pander to furfags (and turn kids into more furfags)
