I hate mowing my lawn. I hate having a lawn, a barren green carpet that does and looks like nothing. I would let it grow but then it looks like shit next to my retired boomer neighbors who have nothing but time and moneyI would kill my lawn and let native prairie plants grow in a heartbeat, but prairies require fire to maintain and that's a no-go. There was an extreme wind storm here a few years ago and only my trees were spared, so at least I get to enjoy shade
