Blue Eye Samurai threads are cursed. The show isn't really about one thing and the actual events paint Mizu is a pretty bad light. Her quest for revenge is what destroyed Edo, not to mention it was ultimately the greed of the Shogun that allowed for Abijah and others to come into Japan. It also paints a very bleak picture of the era with constant violence, backstabbing, power struggles, rampant prostitution etc. etc.None of the characters are treated like they are in the right for anything.
