Why has Johnny Bravo been memory-holed by CN?
take a wild guess
>>150684096Horny
>>150684096All of CNs old shows have basically been memoryholed, anonAll modern CN art, all what they air now, what they’re reviving currently, they only focus on zoomer shit like Gumball and Adventure Time, they rarely acknowledge the classics in their library. PowerPuff Girls are the one exception I can think of cause they still make merch of them and they’ve appeared in Multiversus. Not to mention they’ve also purged all CN classics from HBO Max, in what modern CN media are you expecting Bravo to be referenced in anon?
>>150684096Johnny could reclaim the spotlight if he did the monkey for the CN executives. That would win them over.
>>150685026JB didn't even air on Checkered Past, you would be Adult Swim wouldn't give a shit about the problematic content.
>>150684096people don't get the joke obviously.neither do I but that's besides the point.
>>150684096Because it was actually fun, and funny, and the people making it enjoyed it and put effort into it. [CN] can't have that.
>>150685332>problematic content said no one ever.
Isn't (wasn't) he supposed to be in that Jellystone massive crossover project that was announced alongside a ton of other CN classics?
>>150685753>Because it was actually fun, and funny,Only the second and third seasons.
>>150685026There is one other exception. Foster's. They're reviving it as a preschool showhttps://fostershomeforimaginaryfriends.fandom.com/wiki/Foster%27s_Funtime_for_Imaginary_Friends
>>150684096Probably because of surface level judgement of "Le gross toxic masculine male!" when the show, post season 2, is unironically a modern feminists wet dream of a doofy white guy getting his ass constantly kicked and cucked by women.
>>150688489The first season felt like a proto Family Guy
>>150688489Season 1 was really goodIt gave us that charming crossover with Scooby Doo
>>150688741It's kinda the same thing with season 1although they and post second season they give Johnny more to do than just trying to cat call women
>>150688753It basically was, with Seth MacFarlane working on it and Adam West and all. I believe Season 2's leaked notes even had ideas for characters similar to ones that ended up in Family Guy, like the shady salesman guy.
>>150684096No, please stop with this boogeyman narrative.
>>150685026I never liked how CN started pretending all its cartoons pre-2010 didn't exist.
>>150685026Johnny had a cameo in TTG
>>150684096Johnny isn't omitted because of backlash but because of fear of backlash. There is no one out there protesting Johnny Bravo, but higher ups are stupid and are pre-emptively deciding based on superficial patterns that people WILL do so if they release it on streaming and decide it's just not worth the hypothetical PR nightmare.
>>150688489Kill yourself
Toxic masculinity
>>150688489Yeah, if you are highly unintelligent and enjoy dumb slapstick with zero comedic timing.First season of Johnny Bravo is unsurpassed otherwise.
>>150692201>Toxic masculinity
>>150692321Nta but you are delusional if you think S1 was better than S2
>>150684096Nobody could ever agree which showrunner did it best: Partible or Tingblad?
>>150692522This, it had poor ratings.https://web.archive.org/web/20190203093633/https://www.warnermediagroup.com/newsroom/press-releases/1998/07/28/a-child-scientist-a-cow-and-a-chicken-lead-cartoon-network-to>An aggressive new programming strategy, which includes the Monday-through-Friday prime time stripping of the Emmy-nominated series Dexters Laboratory and Cow and Chicken, helped Cartoon Network shatter its prime time and total day delivery records during the July 1998 rating period (6/29/98-7/26/98), while also setting the network record for prime time ratings. No mention of Johnny Bravo anywhere.
Does anyone else like seasons 1 - 3 but not 4? Season 1's got a different feeling to it but I still find it enjoyable.
>>150691986i would say pretty much this, in the industry asking for forgiveness later isnt worth it. It cost money, reputation and for what? a bunch of nostalgic nerds to say haha funny cartoon man hit on girl for 15-30 mins depending on retention time.unless they start adding disclaimers like in old racist WB cartoons or something but then it just overkill because its often something dumb but people will whine about anyway.
>>150693712I thought it was boring as hell. People only like it because it and Dexter were CN's first original cartoons.
>>150693712S4 sucks mainly because they switched from 7 minutes to 11 minutes.
S1 hate is a /co/ntrarian meme and no one outside of this shithole does this
>>150696352No one outside /co/ cares about pre 2010s cartoons
>>150684096he's white, straight, strong, and basedCN hates that now.
>The "talking to women is problematic" show.Yeah Men should die alone.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3O5JOdZ7wU&t=3s
>>150697643Wrong
>>150697674He's an annoying loser without a job, he ain't based
>>150684096idk even courage had a bluray even if not in the states
>>150698337>"WAAAAAHHHHH, WHY DO THEY MAKE FUN OF ANNOYING HORNY LOSER, THIS IS THE FAULT OF THE LIBRULS WHO WANT TO TAKE AWAY MY PENIS!!!"
>>150698599S1 johnny is a good man
>>150699406K, but he' still a jobless horndog
What was the point of Donny Osmond?
>>150693712The most noteworthy thing about season 4 is that they got the Hey Arnold! creator to work on some episodes.
>>150700448He was supposed to be Johnny’s recurring foil in the show before they came up with Carl.
Reminder that the family guy guy worked on this show briefly
>>150684096>memory-holedWhat is that even mean, yo?
>>150684096Who cares, I don't want them remembering it anyway. Everything these companies remember turns to shit.
>>150684638Big Chungus!
>>150686722that crossover episode was so embarrassing
>>150684096
>>150684096>Why has Johnny Bravo been memory-holed by CN?Might be?
>>150684096.........ONETWOTHREEFOUR
>>150700448he's funny
>>150685332I remember they aired his original short from What A Cartoon once or twice. I guess that doesn't exactly count but it was something.
>>150700448I always figured someone on the crew may have known Donny one way or another, maybe through a job once worked, and wanted to let him on the show every now and then. Could be Donny had always wanted to be in a cartoon. The whole thing always seemed like one of those jokes or references that wouldn't make much sense to the kids watching but would be a neat little treat for any of the parents watching with their kids.
Bravo is one of those Archie Bunker-type Jewish subversions. He’s got a few cool/based attributes that makes you think “he’s like me”, but the show does nothing but mock and humiliate him. “Good looking White guy with a broken family living at home with no job and unable to pick up women” turned out to be pretty prescient propaganda, as usual.
>>150707170Grow a pair you fag
>>150703314I love you too....
>>150684096Too associated with 4chan after the Mr /co/ win
>>150693712Season 4 is when they started having more celebrity cameos I think. Well more like animation celebrities I suppose, like Curtis Armstrong and Tia Carrere. Weird Al showed up too I'm pretty sure.
>>150709658Nobody cares about that outside of /co/
>>150708739> it can’t be propaganda because I liked itGrow a brain, zogbot
>>150684096>Why has Johnny Bravo been memory-holed by CN?He was a freeloader that didn't want to work
>>150713705It’s a parody of Elvis you stupid /pol/fag and canonically Johnny scores outside of the episodes
>>150693712Season 4 was just a pathetic attempt at recapturing Season 1's tone. It was like they were seething that people generally liked 2 and 3 better, especially with how they fucked over Carl and Pops.
>>150684096No one cares about the cartoon cartoons besides PPG, they're all too annoying for zoomers to understand at least PPG was cute
