A huge collaborative effort between the best animators, the screenwritter and the director to storyboard out a movie and refine it through many iterations before a single frame is rendered. Pixar has gone all in on whatever bullshit they thought was going to move the studio forward without John Lasseter and now they just make ugly autobiographical movies with rubber hose looking humans. Dreamworks never forgot the value in having non-human protagonists even though they do movies with human protagonists now and then.
