I wanted to know the anon's opinions here about most studios probably encorporating ai into their work to speed up workflow and get content out faster. Are people here opposed to ai like sora 2 being used for the comics and cartoons they enjoy or against it?How do you feel about the artists that make these creations? Are they obsolete and make room for big clankers or are they genuinely still treasured amongst you all?Personally, I still like artists and want to see them draw keyframes for shows but use ai for the inbetween frames that usually add to the lengthy production time of toons. <This just being an exampleI don't think it has to be so black and white
>>150694211I don't like it so I won't be using it
>>150694211Why have you posted a pic of a homosexual OP?
>>150694226I intially didn't like it either but I see it's use cases for things like "inbetween" animation. work that would have been shipped off to thailand sweatshops anyway.I don't like that it was unethically trained though.I also think it devalues artists workI did want to see moar anons opinions though and see a general consensus.Like A. Fuck artists, obsoleteor B. Fuck ai slop, don't want to see that shitit does have a good usecase as a grunt tool as I mentioned earlier for animation
>>150694238I love him and hope he's happier
>>150694267Why?
>>150694298I just like his content and followed him from the newgrounds days. I'm truly an oldfag
>>150694211I'm an artist but I like using it just to see what it will make. Yeah it will probably fuck me over in the future but at least I can have fun with it before it doeshttps://files.catbox.moe/8lawjr.mp4https://files.catbox.moe/4cctro.mp4
It makes horse shit most of the time except for>>150694379's results, but you can't use those in any meaningful capacity
>>150694379>Yeah it will probably fuck me over in the futurePeople who have a creative mind who knows exactly what tags to use will always have better ideas than some jeet dump 900 tags into a prompt and praying to bajeet. If you consider yourself a creative type, you will always have an advantage over the unwashed masses that only know words and not what looks good.
>>150694259I might be overdosing on copium but I think it'll give indie projects the upper hand to flourish because it replaces the sweatshops the industry has decades of investment in for inbetweening. It could just replace everyone and we all die OR talented people can draw key poses and tweak its output to create something good
>>150694211>Sora2Is that the scam that Kollin Rapper ikugo is trying to start up?Personally, I think it is absolutely necessary. Pic related is a mosaic of failed cartoons that never got passed the pilot. You know why a cartoon fails? Money. AI will help make cartoons without them being as expensive. To put it another way, cartoons are still not worth producing on their own.if you want a normal cartoon you literally have to delude a corporate exec that it is worth it, make it an international venture using 3rd world dictatorship for most of the production, and convince sponsors that you can have product tie ins for your cartoon and maybe, MAYBE your production will break even. Even indies who cut out a lot of staff bloat are financed by fans directly putting money into them.Animation only ever worked when it was an advertisement for something else like a product, a theme park, an ideology, and a guise for education. Now that markets have changed you need AI to make it viable for what little returns it will give.
>>150696924>pic related, >decided to post a gif insteadDon't do caffeine, kids
>>150694211Hate it and will resist until I’m dead
>>150694211What will happen is a boom, then oversaturation then a return to anti ai. We just gotta handle the wave And don't know how long it takes until societal oversaturation takes.
>>150694238If Max is gay, how do you explain his lust for the Power Puff Girls?
I was curious as to just how much of a cum guzzling faggot OP is and wanted to get anons opinion on it.
>>150694211A lot of decisions are made when in between. AI handling that isn’t the silver bullet people think it is. Interpolation software has existed for ages. If it was just a matter of filling in the blanks, we’d already be using this tech, but it tends to look uncanny. It’s inevitable that some companies are going to try to go the AI route, but it’s going to result in shittier products. It’s also cheap FOR NOW, but tech companies always work the same way. They provide a service at a loss until they can corner the market, and then when everyone is totally reliant on them they jack prices. Cabs are more expensive now. Movies are more expensive now. Food delivery is more expensive now. Smart animation studios won’t place themselves in the pocket of tech bros. The ones that hold on to the human element will make a better product cheaper.
>>150694211As long as it's use is kept to a minimum and it doesn't cost any animators their jobs. Ideally it would be better if no AI had to be used but animation studios haven't been willing to put in the admittedly insane amount of time and effort to create long form animation as they were in the past.
>>150694313I used to watch his shit as kid. Now that I'm older, I no longer like anything he ever made and I get visceral hatred everytime I look at his spumco knockoff art style. It's incredible how some come so incredibly gifted in the field of animation but suck so much ass in writting. This is one of the few old "edgekino"fags I'm actually glad had such a massive downfall. Not having to see any more of his work is a blessing.
>>150694211I use an uncensored AI to generate erotica find-tuned to my fetishistic desires.
I genuinely like his stuff but he chose a strange cabal of transgender discord mods over his old fanbase
>>150698628Same. I blew over two hours today on it, mainly because I needed to get the sketches and regions right to get what I wanted. And I thought I had a porn addiction BEFORE ai.
>>150698364I think we'll see the windows model. consumer hobbyist level it will remain largely free, focus will be on getting what they're owed from enterprise.
>>150699640Do you use a specific local model you could recommend?
