It is interesting to see a genre deconstruction straight from the horse's mouth, although I think they beat us over the head with it. Its also nice to see a horror movie, or at least a horror themed movie that can go way out without things like the limitations live action gives you.

The secondary cast was pretty annoying and I didn't particularly want any of them to live. They reminded me a lot of the Furious Five in that respect.

That is also the interesting part of xavier's deconstruction is that its pretty much straight from the horses mouth. We could easily assume this is some insight into how me made those trashy movies. Also you could interpret that since this was all based on not just olives horror movies but specifically the cut for TV editions of it that he always knew that his movies were being seen by kids, just kids watching late night TV or afternoon cable versions of it and this film is his way of doing it directly.

Anyway, I always thought of Gracie as being the young wistful waitress in a diner in the middle of nowhere. A bit mousy, slightly too smart for her station, her and her family has a higher chance than normal to be run over by a transport truck with the face of a goblin on the front.
