Is there even a risk of the AI getting to the point that it can keep these characters on model for more than one scene? They keep working on image quality and "realism" but it's pointless outside of one scene shorts of a character can't stay consistent.Also the lighting in the scene where the lion is sulking in his bed is unintentionally disturbing.

Nano-Banana for example will let you upload a pic and keep the characters on-model, even if the model has no idea who the subjects are. The only limits with Nano-banana are basically the filters (and quality gradually going down the more you populate a scene but that's likely down to limited loops)Still a long way to go for movies though. The 5 second limits are generally there to stop things melting or getting trippy the more the AI has to build on previous generated frames. Hard not to see it being far off that you can load it settings as well as characters to help with this.
