How long until it becomes the next Rick & Morty and ends up jumping the shark?
>>
>>150711586
One more year
>>
>>150711586
It’s not a character based show so unless it consistently stops being amusing then it’ll probably be fine
>>
>>150711586
it wont
>>
Do you realize
>>
>>150711586
Rick and Morty got fucked by a combination of its fans becoming insanely obnoxious right at they same time as they shook up the writing room which fundamentally changed the tone of the show. I have a really hard time seeing those happening in conjunction again with Smiling Friends, especially since it's written in a completely different way compared to Rick and Morty.
>>
looks like the smiling friend schizo is active again. why not watch something that you actually enjoy?
>>
>>150711586
i don't think it'll ever jump the shark, it'll just eventually get boring as the novelty wears off, and hopefully at that point they just end it on a good note and move on to something else
>>
where the hell do i watch the new episode
>>
>>150711586
When they get too big to not have women in the writer's room.
>>
>>150712283
This.
Smiling Friends is the kind of show where it will just end once people get tired of the shtick. At least the creators actually stuck to a vision.
>>
>>150711586
smiling friends has sould unlike rick and morty
>>
>>150712283
The Rick and Morty writing team seemed to hate the idea of a fanbase or at least the idea that their story isn't entirely original. I remember when they admitted that "shocking" reveals were predicted by their fans so they scrambled together an alternate finale.
>>
>>150711586
Not much longer. It's already starting to happen actually.
>>
S3E1 was pretty paint by numbers lame, so it might happen sooner than you think.
>>
>>150711586
>How long until it becomes the next Rick & Morty and ends up jumping the shark?
Umm, did it not already? Faggots on this site could not stop bitching about how they compare the retarded Presidents to either Trump or Biden.
>>
They said they'd only like it to run another 3-4 seasons at most so I think that's doubtful to happen. Also 11 minute runtime is just a different animal than 23 minutes for an episode.
>>
>Season 1 it was new and /co/ liked it
>Season 2 it became popular so now /co/ hated it
>Season 3, now its becoming cool to hate on it so /co/ is back to liking it
Always bet on contrarianism

Am I right in the main joke was a Serious Sam pun? I liked it.

I'm surprised how male-centric Smiling Friends is in le current year. They don't even try to add a token female, they all are dudes and the only female characters appear as background and rarely get lines. I'm surprised it hasn't been cancelled yet
>>
>>150712438
i was of the opinion smiling friends season 3 would suck because i had thought that maybe 1 and 2 were only so funny because of the novelty of it being zach's humor on TV. i kind of don't feel that way any more, i think the plots are good and the writing's funny. i'd say it'll end when zach wants it to end, and i doubt he'd want to be in charge of the next rick and morty (in terms of length)
>>
>>150711586
Well its not trying to do loreshit while also trying to be raunchy like Rick and Morty so it's already on track to still being good.
>>
>>150711586
>How long until
When they hired bitchy bimbo writers from Tumblr and shit like what happened at Rick and Morty
>>
>>150711586
I wish to poke Pim in his chubby tummy
>>
Making Chris-Chan jokes is already a little tasteless what with him being a rapist and everything, but stuffing a 16 year old reference into your cartoon is really lame.
>>
Unlike Dan, they didn't grow up in Hollywood. They grew up consuming Hollywood crap, so the show won't be hijacked by the studio.

Referencing CWC isn't tasteless but doing it with such tame and boring joke is. It just felt purposeless and out of place like "let's put the words people recognize in the script. alright they're now in the script." The bit it goes nowhere and adds nothing, it's pure Oneyplays fanservice.
>>
>>150714711
Well it was pretty meh.
>>
>>150711586
Did Zack or Mike drunktext a minor?
>>
>>150716669
No that was Corey. Easy mistake to make
>>
>>150711586
>ends up jumping the shark?
It's already jumped the shark.
>>
>>150716682
Psssh, Corey doesn't have a darling project out in the aether.
>>
>>150711586
How long until Hadel gets Roilanded?
>>
>>150712889
Early Rick and Morty did too. They lost it around season 3.
>>
>>150715666
Dan grew up in Wisconsin, dipshit.

How is it pointless? If you know Chris Chan, you'll laugh at the fact that they're referencing a funny video. If you don't know Chris Chan, then the scene comes off as a weird, awkward moment between Mr. Boss and Allen, which is still funny in it's own way.

Joel Haver's scene in Brother's Egg is how you parody "Bob Walks In" in a way that contributes to the story AND works as humorous awkward conversation. It's bold and confident. Now they're just milking the meme in the laziest surface level fashion, which is word-by-word repetition of the line everyone's already heard a billion times. And the context it's said in doesn't even relate to what's being referenced. It's just a completely random addition.
>>

>taking a youtube pooper seriously
lol
>>
>>150717659
>The joke is abuse victims live in their parents' basements because they can't make enough money to live on their own which is obviously their fault
Good to see Zach using his radiate positivity show to promote positive messages.
>>
>>150711586
I already did if you were paying attention
>>
>>150717832
no one saw you do a flip anon, I'm sorry
>>

>And the context it's said in doesn't even relate to what's being referenced.
Yes it does. If they fail the inspection, they'll lose the office, which is what Bob was telling Chris would happen if the health department saw the state of their home in the original video. I can understand finding it lazy for just being word for word, but it still works in the context of the plot and the scene.
>>
>>150716720
what means jumping the shark for a show like this or rick & morty anyway? charlie died, went to hell and resurrected, it's not a down to earth plot
>>
>>150717659
>everyone's heard

Bruh, did you know that most people don't have their lives consumed by the Internet? And that the overwhelming majority of people who watch Smiling Friends or even adult swim aren't autists obsessed with another autist? Back in the day I used to be part of ED and followed along with Chris-chan and Dogmongler and "kill myself with bricks and knives," but I wouldn't recognize any of the words those people say at all. Thus, to most people it's funny.
