It’s unnecessary. Volcana is a decent choice for an under utilized DC character to just appear in a random cartoon, I will give them that. But if you’re already fucking with canon, there’s no reason to not just fiddle with her age a bit. You don’t have to give her a weird backstory. So I can only assume they had some kinda reason. Maybe they were just reluctant to make a child character be an ex supervillian. Maybe they only want supervillains to be adults in this. Which is dumb in a batman cartoon of all things.
It looks like it's going to be charming and amusing.
