>is the best cartoon that Cartoon Network ever had>for the first three seasons at least
Who ruined the show first?
>>150715874For almost the whole run in my opinion. There's a few shit episodes in Seasons 6 and 8 but that's about it. Probably one of the best animated shows ever.
>>150715929Season 7 was by no means perfect, anon. Why'd you skip over that one?
if only it didnt fall down the same hole as the rest of the popular cartoons on CN and disney with forced seasonal storylines and continuity.the first three seasons had the perfect mix of standalone stories and weaving the character's lives into one. the guys getting more chummy with muscleman and ghost, the unobtrusive callbacks to previous episodes, and the pieces teasing the mystery of skips and pops' lore. it was perfect only for them to start going overboard and being in your face with all of it.
>>150715949I don't remember having any episodes from Season 7. I remember liking that one. Especially the middle to the end.
I remember reanimating a scene from the death punch episode on the nintendo ds hatena thing when it came out. this show was fucking tight
>>150715914thomas by a mile, donut steel OC that was definitely a writer's self insert and he wasn't even that interesting or funny
how long until we get the obligatory dead horse sequel set in the future?
>>150715874It definitely falls off a bit but yeah the first three seasons at least are top tier among CN's library. Samurai Jack is better, PPG and Dexter are on par, and Megas XLR is close.
>>150715874>>is the best cartoon that Cartoon Network ever hadNot by a longshot>>for the first three seasons at leastI never got the appeal to begin with
>>150715874i mostly fucking love this show, but i was in the middle of rewatching it lately, and for some reason every episode needing to have some sort of chase at the end made me feel like stopping. like, "camping can be cool" is a solid character episode, then that deer head guy shows up and it's like... why? there's a lot of episodes like that. mostly mordecai centric ones
>>150715874Also if you like early Regular Show, JG Quintel's followup show Close Enough has a similar formula and vibe with more overt adult themes because it's HBO. I enjoyed it.
>>150716716they were probably forced to include an action segment in every episode, half because it's what the higher ups say gets views and appeals to the main audience group and half because the show is known for mundane thing -> characters get into shenanigans -> wacky random monster/disaster happens, so with that episode being so grounded the way they had to force the actions event was forced and lazy.the half deer man was pretty funny for what he was though, the small joke about his mother ditching him in the woods and his insecurity about it justified his existence as the comical random villain and keeps the world building part where everything is expected to be a bit nuts everywhere somehow.
Idk I don’t think it looks appealing it was decent but honestly I don’t think it would even be in the top 10 cn shows of all time. Ed edd n eddy would be number one.

I used to watch Regular Show as a kid. But it's crazy how even this show still has crazy shippers. I just finished season 4, and it's probably the episode that killed the show for thousands of shippers. Personally, I loved season 4. One thing about this season is that they are trying to build continuity. Another crazy thing is the realistic firearms; you can't do that in an animated show anymore.

>>150715874Meh, I never liked Regular Show all that much.
>>150717522yes you are
>>150721578Nope
>>150715874Good bait
>>150715914Thomas was the beginning of the end
>>150715914I liked CJ a lot. I always thought she had more personality than Margaret because she actually went on more of the wacky adventures and wasn't just someone to pine over. But I don't think the show ever fully recovered from Mordo fumbling her after hijacking Muscle Man's wedding. Don't know what the thought process behind that was beyond wanting to make multiple episodes of character development leading up to that point feel completely pointless.Thomas was just sort of there, and that was the joke.

>>150717563>I used to watch Regular Show as a kid
>>150722741And I mean, it's made clear that in the end, Mordecai was going to choose CJ, no matter what, since in the end, Mordecai did like her, and the previous episode proves it, only that she never let him finish. And I mean, I understand her. She did have reasons to distrust Margaret, since she was really after Mordecai this whole time!- But I think what ironically makes CJ look like a drama queen is that, well, in the end, she was wrong. This whole mess was because she was sure Mordecai was going to get back with the red-headed bird, but that never happened. So, this girl broke up with her boyfriend, **FOR NOTHING!**
>>150715914Is there a bigger asspull in animation history than "Actually the boring new guy was a BADASS RUSSIAN SPY the whole time!"?
