>Ultimate starts off with tons of hype
>it and Rivals are actually attracting zoomers to comics
>Absolute starts off stumbling
>ffw.png
>Hickman isn't writing Spider-Man, but Green Goblin
>Wolverine is just Snkitbubwank and just any kind of Loganslop on the market
>X-Men is too tonally different and decompressed to even matter
>Black Panther is in the same boat as Wolverine
>Ultimates carries the line but for every one issue of plot progression there's 4 where literally nothing happens and the title's following some random nobody
>the real-time gimmick utterly trashed any hopes for pacing
>Maker comes out in 2 months and Ultimates have literally 0 build-up; but hey, we got Teen Tony creating BlueSky and Luke Cage Prison 101
>first crossover is Mileswank
>meanwhile Absolute sells more and more and more every month
>Absolute Evil got people talking whereas One Year In was an utter dud, since the Maker's Council is just a bunch of jobbers who've done nothing, apart from Monk Hulk who's hard carrying them
>all because Absolute went hard with the edgelord aesthetics and Ultimates is a directionless mess carried by Camp writing political diatribes with funnybook characters
Is there any way NUltimate survives and picks back up after Ultimate Endgame? Or will they just burry it and carry over one or two characters to the 616? People are still talking about Joker's true form, meanwhile all Ultimate talk is just weeb shipping for X-Men and token American leftard "yaaaassss slaaaay" xitter pics of Camp's Marxist writing.

>Wolverine is just Snkitbubwank
hasn’t this been the case for 20+ years now

Shame
>>
Maybe if Ultimate Reed does something

Ultimate Spider-Man was the only one that ever had anything, and it lost it.

This. Fans were sold a Peter Parker that actually grew up, and fathered a family... but we can't have that because Maker, Snicktbub, Miles, Countdown, Edge, Black Panther, Tony, Wakanda, Venom, Council, etc. all have to be shoved into every available orifice.
>>
We need new writers. We need new talent. It's always the same assholes.
>>

Probably won’t happen until the industry crashes, burns, and disappears for a while unfortunately.
>>
>>150719447
Peter being allowed to grow up and get married and so on while Miles is the teen hero one would've been easy enough to do if not for certain guys at Marvel being derranged
>>
>>150717517
Hickman is the only good writer and he's only writing one book.

There is the other aspect of comics being way more viable of a thing with a much larger audience back in 2000 as opposed to 2025. It's not really surprising that Ultimate started out way better than Absolute is right now.

Also in 2025 no one gives a shit about Ultimate either.

Right now I blame Disney and their want for "Relatable" characters demanding nearly every single main character of every single show be 14. And each of their Spider-Man movies and shows demands Peter be a teen in high school. No exceptions.

At the time people liked the general mech-like look of Ultimate Iron Man. Cap was nothing special and Thor did not have many fans at all.

Ultimate FF was doing better than 616, but that's not saying much. Then Marvel decided to make Reed evil for no real reason. Despite there being about a dozen other evil smart guys adjacent to Reed.

The teen heroes of the 2010s was working out until Marvel decided to make them into main line Avengers. Miles, Kamala, and Sam as Avengers was odd. They should have kept them as New Warriors.

>Absolute starts off stumbling
I wish I could just make things up and believe them to be facts
>>
>>150721123
I think he's talking about 2020s Ultimate, not 2000s Ultimate
>>
>>150721161
That's why I'm suspecting OP of being some Marvel shill trying to deliberately downplay Ultimate. It's been getting blatant lately because all the complaints about Ultimate on social media and here come off like Marvel got employees to read off a script

Case 971053 for Marvel staff post here:

I hope we don't get another Spider-person in USM.
>>
>>150717517
I really doubt it. In a few years, I think it'll only be talked about when people confuse it with the other Ultimate universe. It's more Heroes Reborn than MC2.
>>
>>150723286
Already got alluded to, nothing matters anymore.

Tbf Miles, Kamala and Sam actually had potential as characters. The problem was how incredibly mismanaged they were by hack writers.
