He was also the founder of Frederator, that produced many of the shows from these shorts programs.

>>150720485Big mistake. Nickelodeon always had the weirdest two-faced execs. You could never tell what they wanted, I don't think they knew what they wanted. It was apparent though as soon as they switched management in the late 2000s they just started ripping off Disney Channel and Cartoon Network, so they must've either gotten lazy or realize they fucked up and just tried to follow trends. On the other hand CN rode the Adventure Time train into the ground by giving people not qualified for a show too many shows and making people sick of millennial talent within 5 years. Kind of dumb on their part too.

I'd argue they were stuck in the 80's, and it was a mindset that worked somewhat in the 90's during the cable boom, they were hopelessly out of touch by the 00's. I remember how the ATLA fandom despised Spongebob for getting all the airtime while ATLA was effectively sidelined, and for what purpose really? All of these shows could easily have been a part of blocks where they strengthened each other, and that's what CN did for a long time.
