>”It’s about intergenerational trauma. Fathers and sons, and denial of pain, and denial of your own truth and coming to terms with who and what you are," Bettany said during an appearance at Los Angeles Comic Con.

Oh. I see. Great. Love me some trauma and personal truth and daddy issues.
>>
As pretentious as that sounds the Pym to Ultron to Vision family tree has always been incredibly fucked up and dramatic.
>>
>>150723189
I want to watch a robot punch another robot and shoot lasers
>>
>>150723228
That shit right there?
Thats why no one likes pym.

>>150723189
Stop letting out if touch middle aged spinsters and fags make your movies!
It fucking reads like some lifetime movie crap housewives/single foids would play in the background while cleaning or getting brutally railed by Chad the plumber or Jamal the gardener.
>>
>>150723228
You're right, but that's completely irrelevant to the MCU. The Pym/Ultron/Vision stuff works because they have so many interactions. Pym is a mountain of complexes, Ultron is a mountain of complexes, and Vision manages to be the stable on of the trio while dating a gypsy witch who wants kids and may or may not like him for his brain patterns. It's complex and confusing and interesting.
Stark gets a magic stick for a few minutes, sticks it in a computer and tells it to make an AI, and that AI that only talks to him in snark. That AI makes a robot body that gets an AI, and that AI talks to the first AI once or twice before killing him. There are no fathers here, just baby-daddies.
>>
I figured out how to solve the "homework" problem yet still make MCU streaming content.

Find a streaming show that worked and people watched (wandavision)

Build off that, doing more series like this Vision Quest thing

And never bring these characters into the movies again

That way people who like the TV stuff stick to MCU TV. People who like movie stuff stick to movie MCU

sounds gay as fuck

Pity Feige fucked over Pym and made Ultron into Tony's baby instead.
No domestic violence, no bipolar disorder, no mad science AI shit...
>>
>>150724427
What isn’t nowadays?
>>
>>150723189
>another piece Disney media about intergenerational trauma
>>
>>150724506
It’s funny because in age of ultron they make it pretty clear Bruce had a pretty heavy hand in it too, and they never try to do anything with it.
>>
oh boy I cant wait to see how this devolves into a cgi fist fight in the last episode as they do what is expected of them despite being aware of how tone deaf and retarded it is. i cant wait to see who they swap out for the role of father in hank pym since the mcu is so disjointed and abandons the source material at every turn. Its the same shit all modern movies are about. Revenge is bad and trauma is traumatizing. Wow. We must be better men.
>>

>Pity Feige fucked over Pym and made Ultron into Tony's baby instead
Tony and Bruce's baby. Ultron was created based on neural patterns of both Stark and Banner.

Didn't Ultron completely ignore Banner but call Stark his father?
It's the worst Avengers movie I haven't watched it since the release, I'm probably misremembering the details.
>>
>>150723189
>intergenerational trauma

Great, I can't wait to not watch this story again.
>>
Age of Ultron was so bad. I mean it's not as bad as some recent MCU films, but it's a blemish on the Avengers series. It works much better as a tetralogy if you replace it with Civil War. Now that was a good one.

Yeah but it will still end up as CGI mess that barely touches its themes. NEXT.
>>
>>150723189
Based on other comments about this show referencing Agents of SHIELD and now with this trauma angle - I'm assuming the Framework is going to be brought back in some capacity as a storytelling device?
>>

Demonslayer.
A series made by a tiny adorable Japanese woman.
>>
>>150726298
>Didn't Ultron completely ignore Banner but call Stark his father?
No. Stark mockingly referred to himself as Ultron's "old man" after shittalking about Stark to Andy Serkis' character (I forgot his name).
>>
>>150726298
there is no father son dynamic in the movie until MAYBE the final scene with Ulltron and Vision but other than that Ultron seems to equally hate all the Avengers.... except Black Widow mysteriously.
>>
>>150723189
I remember when I solved my intergenerational trauma by shooting laser beams from my forehead at my dad in an empty car lot
>>
>>150724403
They did that, it was called Agents of Shield
>>
Ya'll, it's already hitting me in the feels. This is everything.
>>
>>150723213
>daddy issues.
This is what separates Ultron from the other killbots
>>
>>150723213
Thats basically every Vision story. The robot battling with his humanity and trauma.
Sounds like this show is actually staying true to the character.
>>
>>150727340
Maybe making a Vision show is a bad idea right now then. Because stories like that have been dime-a-dozen for a while, and very many people are bored with them.
>>
>>150727430
They usually don't involve killbots though.
>>
>>150727058
Demon Slayer, the series that is about 60% intergenerational trauma and 30% spoopy cannibalism and 10% yelling?
>>
>>150723189
Exactly what everyone looks for in their superhero movies!
>>
>>150727430
Thats a fair point. I think Paul Bettany has enough gravitas to make it interesting, though, assuming the writing and side characters don't go full retard.
He's been great as Vision, imo.
If its just more slop, though, the shit is going to tank harder than the Twin Towers.
>>
>>150729476
>try to have a nice family dinner
>ultron at one end of the table
>vision at the other
>tommy's in the middle trying to be a robot
>>
>>150729528
>>tommy's in the middle trying to be a robot
lmfao

Same
