What cartoons have the most uncanny-looking animation?

>>150724356Occam's razor: the answer is Neanderthals and other extinct human species. I'll have you guess why we needed to be afraid of people that looked like us but weren't us.
>>150724381Sometimes
>>150724356clutch cargo
>>150724356>at some point there was an evolutionary reason to be afraid of something that looked human but wasn'tA corpse. Sorry if it smothers your creepypasta idea in the crib.
>But in general, take my advice, when you meet anything that's going to be human and isn't yet, or used to be human once and isn't now, or ought to be human and isn't, you keep your eyes on it and feel for your hatchet."-C.S. Lewis
>>150724410Because of the jews, right?
>>150724410B-b-but muh skinwalker sleep paralysis demon
>>150724356the only thing it implies is that our brains have become extremely efficient at analyzing faces
>>150724410>>150724356Or now bear with me on this. Or because you have a natural inclination to recognize when something is "alive" and to discriminate it from things that are "dead". You can see an inanimate object sway in the wind and feel a brief feeling of fear before recognizing that it's a "dead" thing being moved by natural forces. Sort of like how even children can recognize that things like marionettes arent actually "alive" but merely mimicing it. The uncanny valley thus occurs when something is good enough to seem more than dead but not good enough to seem fully alive. This is why things like zombies and the living dead are frightening on a primal level because we know that dead things shouldn't be getting up and moving around like living things do. Note that with super realistic AI generated movies the effect disappears because the digital marionettes look sufficiently "alive" to not get stuck in that in-between area of recognition.

>>150724657lmao what, AI slop is ridiculously uncanny
>>150724657It's honestly a 50/50 with AI.
>>150724381Haven't watched it yet but some of their le chungus stretchy facepulls are a whole new feeling of discomfort for me. It works in anime just leave it there please.
>>150724356wait, couldn't the reason be that your brain just can't catalog the uncanny valley stuff so that's why you have that reaction?
>>150724410>I'll have you guess why we needed to be afraid of people that looked like us but weren't us.Same energy.
>>150724356Alright Who let the fucking redditers in?
>>150724462You won't fool me SKINWALKER.
>>150724356Not neccasarily true
>>150724501Give the man a prize!
>>150724356The baby from Tin Toy is still fucking weird 40 years later.
>>150724356There was. It’s called a corpse.
>>150724473>, when you meet anything that's going to be human and isn't yet, Did the beavers meet Pinocchio or a promethean?
>>150724356It's because people who look almost human are sick.
>>150724410But that answer is boring.
>>150724356People aren't afraid of the uncanny valley though.
>>150724410Also neanderthals were fairly safe to be around. I imagine they were more autistic than anything else.
>>150725015That’s a good thing, amerilard fag
>>150725031Sorry that we have a normal discussion.
>>150724410>the answer is Neanderthals and other extinct human speciesYeah like the other great apes weren't a influencing factor too
>>150724657>AI generated movies the effect disappearsNo it doesn't. People have to use motion cap to get around the issue.
>>150725761>tfw no autistic neanderthal girlfriend.
>>150724356Dinopithecus
>>150724657Second biggest faggot after OP award.
>>150724356I’ve heard bad things about The Polar Express and Mars Needs Moms
>>150725886>Black lives water waiterAI is funny because of its fuck ups. When they iron them out and make it TOO realistic I think everyone will lose interest.
>>150725919Go back to kindergarten
>>150724524Yes, we also needed just a few monster fuckers like you to go the other direction and be aroused by them to get a little of their dna into our gene pool and make us stronger. Sorry your waifu is extinct.
>>150725854>See this>"hmmm yes we are totally similar people"
>>150726025Still images don't get it across, a Gorilla stands up on two feet and hauls ass, it looks like a dude in a Gorilla suit. Also like it should be making the Scooby Doo tiptoe noise.
>>150725989I'm being sarcastic you pea-brained downie.
>>150724356https://youtu.be/ahjTClTCdjs?si=UGGSZWtwJMzUbWlHThis movie never ended up getting made because they couldn't get it to not look horrible.
>>150724410Pretty much this, we went to war with other tribes and those that learned racism to other protohumans are the ones that passed their genes.Being able to recognize who looks like you and who doesn't is probably one of the most unsung adaptations we have, right next to throwing stuff and graveyards/religion such strong tools of survival and intelligence often downplayed. And then there the guys that got freaky with the neanderthals, there was no fight or flight but fight and mate in their heads, it's surprisingly funny to think some ancient caveman look at what many today would call a skinwalker and said would.
>>150726190There’s no need to be hostile and ashamed just because I crushed your dreams of summoning an succubus.
>>150724524muh dick inside you're mother
>>150726357You didn't because I don't have those dreams. The only dream being crushed here is that your Aunt wasn't your Mom.
>>150725711Lewis just flexing his folklore knowledge.
>>150726472Shaddup
>>150726460I don’t get it.

>>150726658Finally
>>150724356Most late 90s and early 2000s cgi shows do, but I think monster by mistake takes the cake.
>>150724410There's an even easier explanation that we're just programmed to recognize anything living. Mistaking plant in a field for a face is a waste of time at best, mistaking a face in the field for a plant is your death at worst.
