I don't know if they ever explained this in Steven Universe, but isn't it just the damnedest coincidence that all the Gems speak English? That, and all the humans kept in the gems' zoo also spoke English? I wondered about that, did the gems literally keep the humans there as pets and breeding with each other for thousands of years or do they go down to Earth occasionally to abduct random humans?

Also I only saw all the way up to 6 episodes into Season 5, is it worth watching the rest of the main series?

Look, they probably have the ability to comunicate in any species’s language and the dialogue between Homeworld’s gems is translated for the audience.
