Two weeks ago, we ended the first arc of the series with Not-Really-Paul apparently killed by his teleportation device, Logan being proved innocent of killing Richard and Mary Parker following the camera footage getting restored, but Teresa Parker learning that she actually might not be their child. But now it's time for a stand-alone issue!

And we're back! Last time on Avengers, the team decided to enter the worm hole after Myrddin in order to stop him from getting the Grail, while placing Cyclops' X-Men in the Impossible City on guard to make sure nothing happens on Earth while they're away. Arriving to the ruins of Battleworld, they were too late as Myrddin had already acquired the Grail and summoned a horde of Marvel Zombies from the Deadlands to buy him some time so that he could use the Grail. Fortunately, the Avengers received assistance from Hyperion who had been summoned by the City to help them wipe out the horde. Together they confronted Myrddin, stating that they will not play the games he had with Kang with them. Myrddin's response? Unmasking himself and revealing to them that he is in fact Kang! But how? And why? All will be revealed!

And then the story continued to where we saw him in the previous issue. I mean this issue was coming sooner or later, but now MacKay has like 3 issues left to wrap everything up.
