>>150737610Is that supposed to be toy-man?Something about the mask bugs me. I know they kinda alternate between "goofy" and "deranged" with him but even when STAS did it, the whole point was that his costume made him feel more child-like to portray him as emotionally stunted
My god these faces
And that's it, if you like it buy it.
>>150737816Batman looks like a young Gabriel Byrne in this book.
>>150737553This looks like that scene from Drawn Together
Points away from the art,Points added for all the references.
Have to assume the people hating on the art just want all superhero comics to look the same.
Hoping this one isn't gay
I hate Morazzo art so much
>>150739082I like art variety in my comics. This art just sucks.
I didn't like that. It's better than Marvel, but like, who cares about Marvel?
>>150737600I just realized they had Lois break up with clark so they wouldn't need to address the implications of her and him while he's aged down, the fact I hadn't realized until now means that it was subtle enough
This art looks like a gay porn comic fron the 2000s
>>150739609I know that Zoomer Billy from the movie isn't loved by anyone. But they should update the character or something
>>150739609Her breaking up with him is a separate thing that has to do with Superman's arrested development. I don't see what implications there would be with him being de-aged. She wasn't going to sleep with him like that.
>>150737594Darn, still ugly.
>>150738001That genuinely was a decent bit of fun. Feels like a bit of classic comic shenanigans, having the villains somehow construct an entire theme park just to fuck with the heroes, and it made me laugh seeing them actually get in the cart.>>150739082Hell no, the art's just bad
>>150739990In an old comics it would have a huge setup. Here it's just cartoon nonsense.
>>150740169I don't know what you mean by "a huge setup." You mean it would have been mentioned several issues earlier? By "old comics" do you mean the 90s? Because this is more of a Silver Age conceit, created and forgotten all within one issue.
>>150740258I've been reading a lot of Silver Age lately, and the entire story would be about the setup and the villain's motivations. This setup is more on the cartoon side, think Regular Show type of deal.
>>150737989The creepiness reminds me the ending of
>>150739082When did "Different" become such a defense for absolute shit.
I hate that Lois is brown
>>150739082I like rossmo, tradd Moore, (some) DWJ, harren, quitely, Sale, post 9/11 miller and many other off-kilter styles. This is fucking hideous though.
>>150737830>seven deadly enemiesBut theyre the seven deadly sins
>>150740738Somebody post that page where butt naked angel tells Lobo they can't say hell in comics
>>150740738This isn't Milton, fuck knuckle. In Shazam it's enemies.
>>150737553Same energy
Superman considers himself an exile.
Thanks. Captain Marvel and de-aged Superman doing battle against a killer amusement park run by Dr. Sivana and Toyman is the adventure I didn't know I wanted. I wouldn't say the art is growing on me but I'm learning to tolerating it, and the doodle pages are a nice touch.
I think it's funny how they can call him Captain Marvel here but not in main canon.
I wonder how this is going to wrap up, we got the 5th dimension next issue then the final one is Kryptonite Man. I think it might end with Superman telling Lois who he really is.
>>150740843Not cool man.
>>150740838>milton
>>150737575>>150737594I would play a good D&D version of this. And yeah >>150739724Not the prettiest book on the rack.>>150739990But calling it "bad" means you haven't seen the slop DC is pushing out in those awful web toon stories. Or you haven't see the 10s to 100s of awful books on Indie Planet. It's one thing to have people do quick sketches on a draw thread here for shits and giggles and it's another when you expect people to pay for it. This is not attractive and is an acquired taste, sure - but "bad" is relative.
>>150740711>post 9/11 millershit taste
>>150740861Where or how so?He's diaspora - and depending on the writer, a diaspora of one, a few, or possibly many - but not in any manner that he would be able to go 'back' or have any reasonable chance of return. Exile means someone kicked him out or asked him to leave, or he was deported and has no where to go, etc.
>>150743697>but not in any manner that he would be able to go 'back' or have any reasonable chance of return. That's why it's so tragic. Like he says here. >>150737655 there was a place where he might have truly belonged but it's lost forever, and even the traces of it hurt him.
>>150737610>>150737649>about the mask bugs meSivanna works with this art; Lex looks like Christopher Walken if his hair fell out and he had been forced to go on a two week bender out of town and then was forced back, at gun point, to deal with these two assholes. You are right, Toy Man just looks creepy in a bad way.>>150737628I do like (or at least have come to appreciate) the way the pages are paneled, I can at least say that.
>>150737642>You're not a good computer-- You're an evil computer!>Analysis: AccurateThis is some Axe Cop/Dav Pilkey shit and I appreciate it.>>150737711Also appreciate Cap looks like the Rock when he smells the cooking.I have to admit, Prince finally found the right balance between navel gazing, comedy and Silver Age wackiness with this issue. The art is still an acquired taste, but it worked as well. I hope the remaining issues sticks to this level of quality.
>>150743841Okay gotcha, I hadn't read everything yet and just skimmed stuff but I see your point now.
>>150739082Totally agree with you, people are overreacting about this art styles.

>uperman finds himself somewhere over the rainbow in this landmark issue — featuring the debut of a brand-new, canon-changing, sure-to-be-essential-for-all-time character! (At the very least, he's awfully cute!)What never happened to the Man of Tomorrow? The answer awaits in a form-bending, head-spinning, myxed-up melee of mites, men, and multicolored meteoroids. It's a major milestone for our magnificent medium — with two added dimensions for extra support!>What's truly at the end of the rainbow? We can't be certain, but we're pretty sure it ain ' t a pot of gold!Up to now it's been a peculiar, polychromatic pilgrimage for Superman: he's lost track of time under the influence of Purple Kryptonite, grown to skyscraper size via Cobalt K, revisited his adolescence by way of Speckled K, and traveled to the fifth dimension using a “key” carved of Rainbow Rock. Now, in this final issue, the chickens have come home to roost — and so, too, has Kal-El. Back in Metropolis, the Man of Tomorrow must stand face-to-face with the Man of Today... and decide for himself, finally, whether Lex is right: Does home hurt too much?
>>150737594Bottom left looks like that dork from Mad Magazine
>>150743278It's ugly, but not in a good way.
>>150746601Alfred E Newman
>>150747388Reminds me of Superman #126 "The Two Faces of Superman", where Superman pranks Lois by pretending his face is actually a mask and that his real face looks like Alfred E. Neuman.
