Cassandra Cain is the daughter of Lady Shiva and David Cain (League of Assassins). She was trained in martial arts from birth but was never taught to read or speak so she's kind of an autistic mute that speaks little. She killed at a young age it scared her into running away and vowing not to kill ever again. She eventually becomes Batgirl and Bruce's adoptive daughter.

Her combat abilities are unmatched, she's on the same league as her mother, and Batman. In fact Batman himself has admitted she could take up the mantle. (I don't think he's ever said that about any of the Robins before, I don't know really.)

Unfortunately nobody ever does anything with her. She's always sidelined by Barbara or Damien. (Barbara being the mainstream go-to Batgirl and Damien being Bruce's direct son and more closely related to the League of Assassins.) She didn't even get so much as a skin for Barbara in the Arkham games.
